Title: Tune Up - From 750 engine to a bigger engine to my Monster 750 model 2000.
Post by: muzz on August 28, 2008, 02:49:43 PM
If i´d like to buy my self a bigger engine to my Monster,, is there a engine that can be fitted almost directly, with little mod.
Like the 900.
is this the only option.???
what do i gain from it,, (in Power that is)

My bike is 2000 model of 750 Monster DARK.

I am open to any suggestions, point or critics
;D :o ??? [roll] ;D ???

900 works fine. Power will be worth it, esp torque.
Just get the exhaust pipes & clutch assy = bolt-on swap.

For the most bolt on version you'll need a 99 or earlier 900.  In 2000 the 900 was injected so you'd need a lot more bits and a lot more fiddling.

IF I remember right, the stock carbs on a 750 and 900 are the same size, just different jetting for the bigger plant.  So you'll need to research that a bit more.  Our you could pony up for some flatsides.
