So I'm cooling out at a red light jamming to Red Hot Chilli Peppers behind a shit box cage when I see smoke. Guessing it's from the VW, I just glance down and coolant is flowing all over. I stay calm, check the temp gauge at 205, and roll on the throttle. I pull over and check out the bike.
Coolant all over the 23k mile motor and rear tire. I put my nitrile gloves on, turn the motor over and watch. I put my finger on the thermostat ad feel air. Bike shuts off (compression maybe).
Looks like a simple deal where I upgrade to Samco hoses but one question; Why did the bike shut off?
Experts?
If a motor overheats badly enough, it'll stall.
The temp was nothing out of normal reference ranges. I believe the ECU kicks on the fans at 225.

My old S4 didn't want to run anytime the temp was over about 215.
Hence the manual fan switch I installed.
Because of "that" , If I decide to keep this bike I def will go FIM.
