Ciao a tutti -
The reason for getting these events started was to provide a fun, social atmosphere for Ducati owners, folks that want to become Ducati owners, and folks that don't yet know that they want to become Ducati owners, to sit, eat, talk, walk around and look at other Ducatis. All brands and models of motorcycles are welcome, so please don't be put off by the event name ;-)
Joe and Eric (desmoquattro and Desmostro on DML) will be your hosts.
Please come and join us from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month.

I may un-mothball the machine, and make it out for this... depends on how motivated I'm feeling.
Should be in [thumbsup]
I will be in if pizza & beer still be good on Monday holiday.

Vacation...........see you guys next month.
**As always , 707 is on his way.** [thumbsup]
urto, baby [thumbsup]
On the phone w/DQ.... the Marin D.O.C. crew is doing this on the 8th, since today is a holiday.
So the overall recommendation is to reconvene this event in conjunction with the Marin crew...a.k.a. usual suspects...next Monday, the 8th of Sept.
Guys - I got an email from the Marin DOC crew saying that Pizza Antica is on the 8th this month due to the holiday. What gives? I know they don't celebrate Labor Day in Canada, John, but let's get our dates straight ;D
So, no meetup tonight?
Or still on?
??? ??? ???

dude ...
canada celebrates may day instead (commie pinko holiday for a socialist country) ...
no worries about moving the ducati bike night for north bay / marin to the 8th ... we will still have the south bay / santana row ducati bike night on the 8th as well.
sorry to all north bay folks for this confusion on my part ... i will continue with posting the north bay ducait bike nights on the first monday of each month moving forwards ... if for some reason that date falls on a holiday us canadians don't observe, let me know here, and i will adjust.
fwiw, the event dates for remainder of 2008 are located on the calendar @ http://www.norcaldoc.com
a presto,

You know John, it might make more sense to have this on the 2nd monday on a regular basis. With the Z night on the last Thursday and Pizza Antica on the 1st Monday, they're kind of stacked up on top of each other. Plus it doesn't seem like there are a lot of folks who go to more than their local meetup.

I think there are plenty of folks who go to the San Jose and Lafayette bike nights. But I'm open to almost any date that works for everyone. I don't mind if they're stacked up, and I don't mind if they're spread out ;D [drink]

i am good with changing the date to whatever the majority considers a better monday to hold the north bay ducati bike night ... after all, even though norcaldoc is not a democracy, it is a benevolent dictatorship [evil]
sooooo, you folks in the north bay take a poll, count raised hands, use a quiji board, whatever method you consider best to yield the vox populi, and let me know. i will then adjust the calendar on norcaldoc.com, edit all the remaining north bay ducati bike night event dates on ducati.com calendar, and edit the ducati bike night PDF to reflect the new date each month. just don't expect me to alter it again after you make this change ... way too much work, so it ain't gonna happen but the once. :P
that said, the only two folks i am going to accept a new date for the event from are desmoquattro and desmostro ... all others can "sick my duc", to use a cool saying i read on a sticker.
a presto,
johncscratch all of the above, except for the benevolent dictatorship comment ... i forgot we have about 1,000 postcards for bay area ducati bike nights already distributed at dealers/shops throughout the bay area, and i have another 1,000 sitting in my garage, ready to re-fill at these dealers/shops.
so, unless someone in the north bay group is willing to correct these postcards (whiteout and pen, or sticker with the edit) ... we really have to keep the 1st monday for the north bay ducati bike night ... unless someone has an idea/solution ... i am open to suggestions.
a presto,
johnc
Hell, with the $6 bridge toll now, we may have to officially make ZG the city's D.O.C. night.

The bridge is free if you just wheelie past the toll plaza [evil]
If you can own a Duc , you can afford toll :)
If you don't do your regular service, you can afford it too

if this is referring to having service on your duc not done at a dealership, then ;D [beer] [thumbsup]
hey all we are definitely having North Bay bike night for DOC on Monday the 8th, hope to see everyone there. I'll probably cage it since I stacked my bike last week. Insurance will make her like new again, but I tweeked my back. See you Monday!! [beer]
Hey guys ... sorry can't make it. A medical emergency calls on the east coast. :(
Have a good time! [thumbsup]
I'm in - anybody want to ride across the GGB from SF?
