I signed up for the AMS Private Track Day this Thursday with Jeff & Derek.
Jacob (Jester) was also shamed into signing up as well, so we're trailering out together...
Jacob was #10, so it's full, but just wondering who else is signed up?
I'm very excited about this! The high is supposed to be below 90 ( :o), & I should have my DP quick-turn throttle installed by then...
Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto]
if i had your bike, i'd have to have a slow-turn throttle installed... :-\
Ok! So who's letting me bum their sbk for the day? [thumbsup] [popcorn]
Damn! It didn't work. [roll]
So how are the rain Gods going to treat us? Should be interesting how it pans out.

I appreciate the offer, but in all reality I wouldn't want to risk someone else's bike at the expense of me pushing myself to the next level of trackdom if you will. I'll punish my little monster for the rest of this year and spring for a trackbike sometime in 09'. Thanks again for the kindness my man.

That is one of the best mods I did to my ST4s. I thought it would be way to touchy, but it's actually easier to manage just riding around town. I ended up getting one of these: http://www.electraeon.com/throttlecam.html so I don't know if it is the same as the DP kit. Awesome, simply awesome!
Steve
Oh, and I'm jealous by the way!
So how does one get notified of the super double top secret track days with Jeff? Also, what is the cost? I won't be doing any more this year, but maybe come spring time...
I've used up all my kitchen points this year with going to Indy for the race and the Ducati only track day in Putnam the monday following. Can't wait!
Steve
8) So MonSure - Throttle installed ? Trailer tires checked? Is that the sound of D'Zus clicking that you are listening to right now ? ( Thread jack)
8) You are sooooo lucky to be getting this weather - less wind & hi 90 tomorrow - lap it up you smART dog!
[bang] Increase our suffering - share a few pix! [popcorn]
Hope you have a great time at track day!! Be careful!!!!!!! [moto]

Looks like a short-cut to where I ended up. The DP QT came with my bike, just not installed.

No secret really... AMS likes to host the track days for AMS customers preferable.
Jeff generally does 1 or 2 Private Track Days a month, depending on MSR's schedule.
Normally it's on their website.
I just happen to ask about track days every time I go in (very frequently ;D)

Great day at the track... Great weather, great people...
2 High Fives [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
No, wait.... Make that 2 High Sides :P
If you're ever offered the opportunity to grind the top of your finger off, including the nail, on pavement at maybe 40, or 50 mph, I recommend that you politely decline.
I think the bikes gonna live, but Jeff is checking the frame for straightness before I put her back together.
Huge thanks to Jeff & Jacob & everyone who pitched in [thumbsup] (Jacob, if the apartment thing doesn't work out, I think you could have a future as a personal valet [thumbsup])
I know, I know... Photos or it didn't happen. If you REALLY want a photo of the pinky, PM me ;D
Sorry to hear that! Hope all is well. Did the gloves fail on you?
Did we see you on 67 or 35 yesterday around noon? Someone in a silver Z4 was waving at us.

I'll pass on the photo. Sounds painful. Will have to catch up later on war stories.
Damn two highsides... which turn/same turn?
Heal up! Oct trackday is coming up [thumbsup]
If you want Pinky Pictures, you'll have to PM me with your email address. Can't PM photos....
Any bike pictures? What kinda damage do you have to deal with (other than getting the frame checked)?
QuoteDamn two highsides... which turn/same turn?

First was coming off the fast double apex on to the back straight ( can't remember that turn name ) and the second was coming up off wagon wheel. Derek was behind him the first one and his camera screwed up, otherwise we'd probably have some video footage of that one. He really wanted that one for instructional purposes.
I was really happy the only injury was bruises and a finger. We know broken bones happen on highsides. Very fortunate I think. Scott secretly just wanted Jeff and I to load up his truck at the end of the day. That explains the second highside. [evil]

I KNEW there must have been a good reason for the second one ;D
-but hey, no plaster stitches or staples required... and that was for TWO of 'em. [thumbsup]
Isn't that tombstone? That is where I had my high side. My favorite turn actually.
