Now this dude was LUCKY

The cops were travelling down the highway at around 1 o'clock in the morning near Tulsa, Oklahoma.
They found this on the road.

An other patrol car stopped a truck some miles down the highway and were struck with the following image.

Truck driver said he thought felt the impact, and it took almost a 4 miles for him to pull over.

The motorcyclist was traveling at 120mph and ran into the back of the moving semi-truck.#
It pays to have a good quality helmet when riding a motorcycle, THIS GUY SURVIVED.

120-0 in .00001 seconds=death, no matter what you have on.

theres NO WAY he hit that truck at 120mph. Im pretty sure a 120mph, 180lb object would almost efintely break that whole door down.

He probably hit it at 70-80mph. Think about it, hes going 120mph, the truck was probably doing 55mph.

boots didn't work too well though!

and reading the report you just know the parents have to blame something - a review of motorcycle laws? your son wasn't good at obeying the law, so who cares what it would have been, he'd still be where he is now...

Yeah, his friend must have thought the same thing because he want killed himself almost the same way because there weren't any laws to keep him from being stupid either...  [roll] I don't get how you can attend your friend's funeral and then die doing the same stupid shit 5 days later.

Side note, anyone see that one about the motorcyclist that got ripped in half on snopes?  [puke] Helmet didn't help him either. Peoples suspect he hit a pole after he flew off the bike and the force ripped him in half.  Helmets aren't a cure-all but did you know you can die just from falling over at a stop light and not bracing yourself? A helmet would save you there.

Looks like I got one of the 'fowarded' versions. I apologise for posting incorrect information.

We're often given information that isn't true. I just like to be more inquisitive. When I got the modified email that said the guy lived I already knew it wasn't true but even if I didn't, that guy doesn't look alive and I would investigate.

sorry to be callous....but the body does not hang like that when it is alive. The feet would be flat and the legs would be upright trying to remove stress from the neck.

Here's a quick lesson. If he was alive, the ambulance crew, police, ANYONE would be trying to get him down. HE WAS DEAD!

A.  Anyone with any sense knows he died.
B.  More than one pic w/ an ambulance in it, no one helping him.  "Just hang out for a second, bud.  We'll be right w/ you. Right after we take pictures." [popcorn]

I'm surprised that his feet are intact.  I woulda thought that the pavement would have sanded them down a bit.

yeah, good call, you'd probably loose your job if you're taking photos and saying how this is going on the internet whilst someone is trapped in the truck!

I've done about 6 autopsies on moto victims.   They primarily have head trauma as COD. Helmet or not, the concussion of hitting a guardrail at 75 mph is more than most cervical verts can bear.  You can tell that buddy in the photos is DOA due to the back-head angle - that's broken, folks.

Most memorable case was what we called the Ichabod Crane case: I open the body bag and there's no head, just a body in riding leathers.  I go back into the fridge and find a small bag on a separate gurney...you guessed it.  Head was still in the Shoei helmet.  Strapped in.  Cleanly dislocated from the torso. This guy went off the road in a corner and hit a tree, at night.   I'll never forget the expression on the face when I lifted the visor.

yes, a coroner would be a  very interesting job, although some people find it distasteful - but then again those same people think that sewage manages itself.

I used to know a gentlemen who was the state coroner - he had some fantastic stories and knowledge - the most important thing I learnt is just how much death goes on - the media focus on a few stories here and there but there is death everywhere (by both natural and man-caused instances)

Best way to describe it is, "OHHH NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Worked in a Pathology lab from 89-97.  Best job I ever had.  Learned so many things I would have gladly done the job without pay.  Really puts things in perspective.
