Well a couple of them actually. I know someone with forks from either a 900 Monster or a 900SS (He can't remember which)
I'm wondering if they'd fit my 695. They sure LOOK the same, but that doesn't mean much.
iirc, the tube dia's are the same...
SS forks will be longer for clip-ons?
I suppose that would depend on how they did the triple/clip-on arrangement. Is there any way I can accurately measure them if I can't take the weight off of the front end?
slider length/travel might be the same, but the Al tube could just be longer.
oh, and the axle size/caliper mounts are probably different, since they're off older bikes
I guess it's time to buy some calipers and start measuring...
You're likely going to run into axle size problems as well. Your 695 has an 25mm hollow axle. Those forks are probably designed for a 20mm or 17mm solid axle. I don't know if there are rotor offset issues, but I don't think so.
I'd measure the bottom and tops of the fork tubes. If they're 50mm (top) and 54mm (bottom), they'll fit in your triples without needing to bore out the triples like you would with SBK forks. The SS forks might be longer (measure), so they might butt up against your bars. If you have clip-ons, it won't be a problem because they'll just stick out.
The spacing on the forks between the caliper bolts is either going to be 40mm or 65mm (later bikes). If it's 40mm, you need new calipers. If it's 65, you might be ok. I *think* the 695 has a bracket for the smaller front rotor (300 or 310mm instead of 320). If the offset is the same--which is not guaranteed--you'll probably have to use the caliper bracket from your 695.

The 620/695 forks can fit the 320 or 300mm rotors. The difference comes down to which calipers you use. If you're using the 695 stock calipers (2-pad 2-piston), they will mate to 300mm 0 offset rotors (your stockers). If you snag some of the 2-pad 4-piston calipers, then you would need a set of 320mm 10mm offset rotors.
The stock 695, S2R 800 and 05+ 620 stock calipers had a metal brackety deal attached to them, which was then secured to the fork leg - as opposed to the nicer calipers found on older 620s that one bolted directly to the folk leg.
