Title: 77 in a 50 yesterday on the PIP
Post by: Chchadder on September 02, 2008, 08:42:33 AM
Should've stayed on 9W coming back down.  Got popped for speeding on the way back down the Palisades Parkway.  Anyone use this guy to help reduce or dismiss their tickets?

Anyone have any other suggestions?  Not worried about the points so much as NY DMV does not apply points from out of state tickets, even Jersey.  It's just kind of the principle of the thing I guess, just paying without a fight.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

When I did my research I found that most lawyers charge between $250~$450 to assist with a speeding ticket...You could win a reduced fine and still end up paying more all in.  I ended up just paying the sine since it wasn't going to affect my insurance (NYS license w/ a NJ speeding ticket).

What CDawg said about sums it up.  Palisades radar ticket?  You are pretty much screwed.  If you want, you can call my guy for a free consult     http://www.speedlaw.net

I never used that guy, let us know how he is if you use him.

If you got a NYS license and it's a NJS ticket, just pay the fine points don't transfer and usually lawyers will not be able to reduce the fine enough to justify their expense.

I typically pay this lady I know to deal with my tickets.  She just postpones the case until the points don't count anymore and then all you have is the fine.  She charges $300 for speeding tickets and $150 for moving violations.  I can PM you her number if you need it.

Goodluck.  [thumbsup]
