I'm pretty sure it will.
I believe the cases have the same pressed in bearings as the DSS bikes.
You can check on ducati.com in the pdf parts files.

I'm not sure I've got the engine for sale, and just has some inquire about it who has a DSS bike.
I'll check ducat.com, but I guess if I don't know the year or model it might be hard to know for sure.
Have the person who is inquiring check the year. Ducati changed frames in '02 to an ST-based frame from an 888-based frame, and any answers you get here about the ST-based (post 02+) frames may not apply to the earlier ones.

I'm not positive, but I don't believe the swingarm mounting changed on the ST based frame.
The shock linkage and swingarm itself did change, but not the cases.
I'm waiting for a reply on the year a model of his bike. But I did check part numbers of the half crankcase on an 04' 1000ie and an 06' s2r1k. They are different numbers, but the pictures are identical.
