I'm pretty sure it will.

I believe the cases have the same pressed in bearings as the DSS bikes.

You can check on ducati.com in the pdf parts files.

Overcaffeinated, are you talking an '02+ DSS frame or earlier?

I'm not sure I've got the engine for sale, and just has some inquire about it who has a DSS bike.

I'll check ducat.com, but I guess if I don't know the year or model it might be hard to know for sure.

Have the person who is inquiring check the year.  Ducati changed frames in '02 to an ST-based frame from an 888-based frame, and any answers you get here about the ST-based (post 02+) frames may not apply to the earlier ones.

I'm not positive, but I don't believe the swingarm mounting changed on the ST based frame.

The shock linkage and swingarm itself did change, but not the cases.

I'm waiting for a reply on the year a model of his bike. But I did check part numbers of the half crankcase on an 04' 1000ie and an 06' s2r1k. They are different numbers, but the pictures are identical.
