Yes, breaking tradition of bi-weekly west side dinners. Dinner last Thursday, but we had so much fun, we're doing it again this Thursday (or so says cdc) [laugh]
Come one, come all...
Feedstore BBQ & More in Southlake
(although, I don't know what 'more' really is - beer & wine?)
530 S White Chapel Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092
(817) 488-1445
Truly a country BBQ joint. Off the beaten trail, but really good food and should handle our hooligan mob quite nicely. All indoor seating (sorry, no patio), but I seem to recall pleny of windows so we can oogle our bikes. Wouldn't want any cows or horses roaming around in the area to knock them over. (Sorry svoloch, this place doesn't look like your kinda place. [bacon])

How about 6:30pm.

this is a great place. i should be able to make it, it's not far from me. another great bbq place is up n smoke in keller off of 377, this place has some seriously good food and lots of tasty beer on tap. it's a motorcycle place, always has speed channel on. the owner phil is a real cool guy, he has tons of old bikes.

Up In Smoke is a cool location. I've driven past it many times, but never been in.
It would be a good location sometime. Keller can be a bit off the beaten path (freeway) for some Easties. But it sounds like the place might be worth keeping on the short list. [thumbsup]

Anyone else notice the pattern that the westy get togethers are food-centric whereas easties always consider the alcohol first? The fact that there are 3 drinking smileys (4, if you imagine the coffee drinker with an Irish Coffee) and only 2 food smileys goes to show what priorities SHOULD be. Once again eastside wins. [thumbsup]

The westies need to plan and so we can finish chores around our farms... Finish plowing the field, catch catfish, put the hens up for the night, corral the cattle, feed the pigs, wash the mud off our wagons, put new shoes on the horses, clean our shotguns, change the oil on our 4-wheel drive, and pick tomatoes in the garden.
Plus, westies don't need to flash-mob for booze - we make our own whiskey in the still out back
Sounds like you should go west young man!

Great weather. Looks like it will be a pretty good turn out.
I just wanted to provide a word of caution. Watch your speed (and volume, if possible) when coming down Southlake Blvd. The Southlake police have no sense of humor (2-wheels or 4-wheels). They love writing speeding tickets. Not sure if they're too annoyed by loud pipes - but wouldn't hurt to play it safe.
See ya'll soon. I think we're gonna get some pre-dinner back-streets riding in. [moto] [moto]
Speaking from experience: loud pipes okay, over the speed limit, not okay.

So, why the covers back on the belts?
Stuart at AMS (formerly), harassed me about having them off last time I took the bike in for service. He acted like he wasn't going to cover the bike under warranty since I was riding with them off. Decided to put them back on just to avoid any potential hassle should I need further warranty coverage. Now that I think I'm past my warranty, I'll probably pull them off when I decide to either mod them like yours and Lyndy's or when I put on something like SpeedyMoto belt covers.
looks like a good turn out.

I wish I had come earlier. It seemed like I missed out on the good food and even better company. Thanks for the support, Cyclone. I tried to get him some pants, but they didn't have the ones he wanted. Also, that was two pairs of socks for TTL - btw, I rode there and could only buy what I could wear home of fit into backpack, including old helmet. Thanks for all the help, Kevin, and thanks for going with, Slag. All of the gear is awesome, but I can't say enough about the helmet. The ride home was so different than what I am used to. I didn't feel like I was getting whiplash everytime I checked to change lanes. That helmet fits sooooo well, it didn't move at all, but it wasn't tight! Wow! [thumbsup] [moto]

I tried on several and that one just fit the best. Then, when I rode home I really got it...........apparently the helmet isn't supposed to bounce around while riding. It was so smooth. I am still in shock! Like the boots too, but that felt different bc I have been riding in those little pumas for a year. Felt like I couldn't really feel the levers, but I know I will get used to it.
