Title: Candied Bacon
Post by: NeufUnSix on September 03, 2008, 09:34:42 PM
Tried some this week, turned out nicely. Lay the strips onto a baking sheet and cover each one in a layer of brown sugar. Cook at 400 degree for five minutes, flip, then another 5. Comes out crunchy-chewy with a smoky caramel flavour. Makes spectacular bacon sandwiches. I'm tempted to throw some on a glazed donut now, mmmm.

My wife made some and put it on an apple pie with no crust. Delicious!

Sorry, but the US military have gone one step further towards developing...

The ultimate bacon. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/caffeinated-jerky-and-zapplesauce-adding-kick-to-the-militarys-tough-to-swallow-mre/2011/10/27/gIQAtI9aTM_story.html)
