Title: New to Ducati
Post by: Dirteagle on September 04, 2008, 08:48:13 PM
 [moto]
Hi, Robert here.

I`ve been following this site for awhile and hanging out at a Ducati shop. It finally happened, I bought one.  My first Ducati. It was so beautiful and had the hooligan factor going on. A Monster S4rs Tricolore #221, my baby. What a machine. By no means a newbie to motorcycles, riding or wrenching, just new to Ducatis. Got a lot to learn. will list ugrades and pics at a later date. ( if I ever figure out this all out )

A little about my self;

Mc endorsed for 37 years, ( oops, I guess that makes me an old fart)
I may have a few years under my belt, but I refuse to grow up and you can`nt make me(a little rebel too)

Machines currently in my garage and ridden regularly,

2001 Honda XR650R, Baja racing kit to make it road legal( barely), Full FMF exhaust, Hot cams Stage II, airbox mods, JD jetting, bash guards on everything, O-dot tires 90% dirt/10% street, (can you say hooligan!)

2004 BMW R1150gs, setup for the long haul( Pia driving lights, fog lights, full luggage, full Staintune exhaust system, power commander, Mr Ed`s custom seat, etc.)

2005 KTM 525EXC, Setup for serious enduro riding ( of cousre full FMF exhaust, air box mods, Jd jetting and full crunch protection everywhere)

2006 Honda CFR250X , Full FMF exhaust , airbox mods, JD jetting, all the bash guards, very fun light tight trail toy.

2006 Yamaha 700 Raptor, Fully decked with all the go fast goodies from GYTR and the fuel controler, Works Black Widow shocks fornt and back, Ohlins stabilizer( I know, not a bike but the need for speed and performance knows no bounds for the truely addicted.

2006 Iron Horse 7.5 MTB
2007 Iron Horse Azure Comp MTB( of course I`ve Modded both Bkes too)

This should give you some kind on an idea how insane I am.

Oh, by the way I do all my own wrenching and upgrades an everything so far except the new Ducati. I have done some of the small upgrades on it.

Thought I should follow the guidelines and intro myself before commenting on post.

Thanks for the welcomes. I`ll post some pics of of the stable and my new baby this weekend.

I believe I have the only Ducati in my area. Have to go to the big city to ride with others, but thats OK. The twisty ride is always worth it. [moto]

I saw in your post on the nicest things said about your Monster that you were in Vernonia recently.  Stop by and say "hi" in the Northwest Section (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=27.0).

[thumbsup]

If you've already been there, cool, sometimes I'm knid of clueless. 8)
