Today there were two smokin deals for ML!
First, I was pissed off at having to still pay PMI on my mortgage after 7.5 years (22.5 to go [roll])and called up the mortgage co. The end result is im going to refinance, drop my interest .75%, cut 2-1/2 years off my loan and my payment goes down $55 a month. Oh, and no more make the beast with two backsing PMI 8) No closing costs either, and I can do this again if rates go down, and it costs me nothing.
make the beast with two backsin A.
Deal #2, I score a 1994 Honda Accord, that runs, and is inspected for another year, WITH a title. Needs a head gasket though, but that's cake. It's an EX and I think I can make some bucks on it.
Today's low, low price = $200.
Damn it feels good to be a gangsta 8)
Tomorrow the deals continue. I got dibs on a nice couch for $100 to replace the one my (soon to be) ex wife is taking. It is hers after all.
Again, I rule.

Every man knows how eating works. They may not know how to cook or clean, but they KNOW eating.

So the food either goes bad or it's eaten over the sink???
Your spouse will get everything after the divorce, gloat boy.

More like, average idiot will go to the market, decide what he wants to eat, and buy that.
Except, that's all he'll buy. Enough for that one meal.
Later on, when one is feeling snackish, there is again, nothing in the house. Repeat until the fairer and more knowledgeable sex enters.

Not that criteria. I AM better at the former, you are better at the latter.
monsterlover - don't pay attention to the buzzing in the backround. Let all the negativity wash over you and pass. We love you and that's why someguy and I are busting on you :-*
you guys aren't the issue.
Somebody I don't even know telling me Im going to loose everything in my divorce. . . not cool.

BTW, after my divorce, when I was single and traveling a lot, I had friends come over. They looked in my fridge and broke out laughing, because all they saw was beer and soymilk...."looks like a guy's fridge!" [cheeky]

my fridge as a single was just as pitiful as paula's.
i still shop on a per meal basis,
if i do plan ahead, we end up eating out or something....

Same here. I am the chef in the family. Eating out has become more and more infrequent though. Since I usually go shopping with the [moto], we eat a lot of flat food.

That remains to be seen yet. Scoping prices on replacement head gasket, water pump and timing belt for the Accord.

[deal king]I just remembered I needed to update this thread. . .
I sold the $200 Honda accord. . .
for $1750!!
Now Im working on getting my house ready to sell, and so far have been able to use that money on the house = 0 out of pocket so far :D
One other recent great deal - i took the 750 engine that came in my 750ss (that ducpainter finished off) and traded that + $100 for a hydraulic lift. It was a little small for a bike though, so I got a sheet of 4x8x3/16 plate and made myself a nice little deck that bolts onto the lift. I can put a bike on it, on front and rear stands, and put it at any height I want.
I can put the crank cover on a ducati at my eye level, which is more than 6' off the ground.
Working on bikes now = teh awesome!
I should post a pic, huh?[/deal king]
yes DEAL KING... we definitely need a pic of that [thumbsup]
Working on it. . .

In addition to that, the Deal King scooped up another great score just this past sunday :D
One of the local racers smashed his 800ss after building it all winter. It was his first weekend out on it and a kid on a SUMO took him out after doing something stupid.
I happened to have a spare frame, so I offered it to him for $100 cause I felt bad for him. I didn't need it anyway.
So he bought it, and he also gave me a set of lightly used Bridgestone slicks! [moto]
Those'll get me though a couple trackdays (as long as it's not going to rain)
Yay Karma!

always blow smokie in your ass, it covers the stink
Awesome ML!! I love this thread. [popcorn]
KnightofNi -- that's a smokin' deal, over $6k off the listed price?! [beer]
I thought I scored pretty well myself yesterday. Maybe not up to bar with you two but not bad according to my own track record. 8)
Landed a very schweet 1966 Ford Mustang with a 289 3 speed auto. Negotiated the price down to over 40% off the asking price. ;D
Yeah but...what'd you get it for? There's a local one (California car) for under 4k. '66, 289.
It's all relative, condition, etc.,
I ran into a smokin' deal last week. Went to Cycle gear to replace my lid, and found a KBC VR-2 in my size and colors that match my jacket. Retail was $269
Deal king price: $49.97
I told some of my friends, and two of them went up there looking. The manager swore to both of them that they didn't sell helmets for that cheap.
Each one called me from the store, thinking I exaggerated, so I told them to have the manager look up my account. Dispute over.
One got my deal, the other got a KBC modular for his wife for $70. ;D
[thumbsup] to all these killer deals!
More of a Deal Duke or Deal Viceroy than Deal King thing, but I came home from Goodwill last weekend with a nearly-new BMW moto touring jacket with armor, a waterproof zip-out liner & more pockets than I have worldly possessions to put in them for $19.
While looking for the price tag, I couldn't help but notice the ski lift ticket dangling from the zipper. [laugh]
Well done.
I've been keeping my eyes out for a good deal on a Monster. Also getting a new (to me) car in a few weeks, and hope I can be a Deal King.
