That looks like a very interesting piece of equipment. I bet if you knew how to make one you could pick up the parts and assemble it yourself for $5
Feel free to pregnant dog slap me, but a lot of people complain about this stuff - popping, jerky in first gear etc.. Isn't that why you would use the clutch for complex slow speed maneuvers? Isn't that what first gear is supposed to feel like on a powerful bike? Does it affect performance of the cycle grossly? It just seems like a LOT of trouble and time is taken over something that essentially would be eliminated by Ducati if it was a problem? Ok well, not necessarily but you see my point? People's engines aren't exactly dropping out of the bikes or blowing up (all the time). Kind of seems like a quest for the unicorn.
...But having said that, I now feel obligated to point out that I have a lot of respect for the minds that can work this kind of stuff out, I'm not taking a dig at anyone.
I just wanted to add I dont know this guy, I did purchase one of the manipulators for my 695 so when its gets here I will report on any improvements to my lean condition. It looks promising from the reviews so far and I cant wait to see if it works for a 695. It looks like all the ducati/monster boards are watching it now. [popcorn]
I purchased one of the "test" batch manipulators. It has helped smooth out the sub 3k rpm coasting for city streets. Went thru my first full tank of gas with it on the bike. Also I had a dead spot at 4k, that is gone. I posted some feedback on the .ms site, I want to get some more miles on it, but there is no doubt that it helped the low rpm shudder.
Bike is a 2006 S2R1k

Man I didnt see that! :-[
Well hey let us know how it works on your 695!
I have an '07 695, and the low RPM surging and popping drives me nuts when I'm riding around town! I've been trying to get DNA to do something about it as a warranty issue, because it also runs pretty hot.
But if this thing works for you I'll definitely check it out!!! [thumbsup]
