Title: when to sell and what to sell.....
Post by: s2r800 on September 09, 2008, 04:05:13 PM
so i have a 2007  s2r800 that i purchsed new in april as a leftover....put 3k miles on it, added full termis, mirrors, some cf parts, adjustable levers, etc....

i am thinking of moving up to a 1098 - so my question is this....

i am planning on puttign the bike into storage in november....am i better off holding onto it and sellign in the spring?  will i get more money for it in april?  june?

also-  - better off selling it stock and ebaying the aftermarket parts?

i think i know the answers to both questions - just looking for confirmation....or not

Put it back to stock, sell the aftermarket.

As for getting more later than now, I would just list it at the price you want to get for it, no rush in selling it, that way you don-t miss out on potential buyers.

+1  list it for the price you want and if they try to get you to come to a lower  price, no problem, you can wait for someone who'll pay what you want.  The only good time to sell is when they give you what it's worth.  List it on craigslist and other free media so you can advertise as long as you want at no cost to you!

I had my 748 for sale on Craigslist for about 1.5 years.  I told the wife it was for sale but didnt have any takers.....I was only asking $7500 for a 99.  I dropped the price and got my price relatively quick.

My 1999 Cromo I wont move a penny on.....too pretty to sell for anything less.  Told the wife Im trying to sell it.... [evil]
