I just ordered a set of Woodraft clip-on's for my 08 695 and hope to put them on this weekend. Any advice on installing them or is it pretty straight forward? I plan on keeping the stock upper triple for now, but it will be the next to go. Any recommendations on weather or not I should drill them for the controls?

well I just drilled my new LSL clip on bar for controls yesterday and it took me about 5 minutes to get out the drill/bits, fetch my wife's nail polish, dab polish on lock post, temp mount control to bar for polish print location, drill successive holes to proper size (11/32 I think it was- can check), then final fit controls to the bar. honestly- five minutes, probably less. it's easy as...

All i know is that I am having problems with my install with woodcraft. There is no rise to them.
I picked the woodcraft because there was no rise to them. Why is this causing an install problem for you? are there clearance issues?
The problem that you might encounter is that if you dont lower the headlight, your reservoirs might not fit. Which means you might have to flip the clip ons if you don't want to lower the headlight, which in turn looks kinda funky.
Also, it's important to note that without the lowered headlight the bike will look weird.
Finally, the mod is totally worthwhile and is one of the best handling mods I have done to the bike, It looks killer and the handling is completely transformed.

Good stuff, looks like I will be lowering the headlight too. I've been checking out how some of you lowered yours in the "How To" section. Seems like it only needs to come down an inch or so. I'll post some pics once I get it done. Thanks for the advice

The problems I am running into are that the MC's do not have enough room. I dont have coffin ones, I upgraded to the remote reservoir/cup masters.
Also, you will notice that matador does not have his stock turn signals on (a plus in my book. Also, im wondering what he used) so plan to have a replacement on hand.
I ended up buying a cyclecat triple clamp off of ebay. Comes with triple, slight rise clipons and the top of fork extensions so i can mount clipons on top of fork.
Even with my lowered headlight, there is a slight clearance issue. Brake lines and such and masters hitting the top of the stock triple. I plan on using my front bikini fairing so I may have extra problems to deal with.
Installed them on my S4 and had clearance issues with the stock signals.
You are still using the stock MC brackets yeah? You can make your own out of stuff from the hardware store and/or mount them from another place that allows you to fit the MCs. I've got mine mounted from the headlight bracket 'ears' on bent Rizoma brackets. This is a pre-clip on picture but it looks like this:

as in not gold line? The reason why I ask is because it seems the brake lines connect to the bottom of the masters instead of the side.
All right, headlights lowered, clip-ons are installed, wasn't too bad. Think I want some new break lines for the front. If they were shorter, seems they would fit a lot better, not all bent up behind the headlight. There was a clearance issue with the reservoirs though. They are rubbing on the clip-on mounts. I ordered a clearance adapter that is supposed to adapt your stock controls for use with clip-ons. Anyone know what this part looks like, or is anyone using it? Am i seeing it wrong here? The bottom right picture has some sort of line connecting to the bottom of something. if my orientation is correct, it seems it is the brake side
oh the banjo bolts... I thought you were referring to the reservoirs still because of the fitment. Sorry- yes the banjos hang as you see them.
