question:
What are the significance of these logos?
rain
fire
Italian flag
letter "M"
butterfly
bike

The letter "m" represents the only noise I could make as I lay crumpled in the ditch. "mgh mmmm mhhgg" The fire represents the condition of my ride 50 yards ahead of me, as the light from it flickers on my face. The Italian flag represents the plastic symbol melting off my tank. The rain represents the cause of the road conditions that led to my demise. The butterfly represents the creature that flapped it's wings half a world away and caused this storm. And the bike represents what I'll have to live without for the next few months. :'(
(not a true story, but hey, we're talking about a free hat here!!!) ;D
Italian = Ducati
bike = The Monster
M = the monster someguy was riding that caught
fire and you wish you had
Rain to put it out there
and you like butterflys casue your a werido :P :P
Oh, I've seen fire, and I've seen rain,
I've seen lonely days that I thought would never end,
I've seen butterflies land on my girl M,
Etc.

Simple really....
The rain signifies the heavens...
Falling to earth in the land of Ducatis (the flag)...
That is constantly "Tempted" (Temptation is a well known tool used by the Devil) by the evils of hell...
The side of the hat is a formula that refers to a Bike (bike picture) that is Light, nimble, flies, and is beuatiful (butterfly) and can be the only one to truly deserve the name of "MONSTER"!
The Italian flag represents the place where the bike was made, in a small hometown shop where the employess all have fire in there souls for the beautiful creations they are producing. On the first spring morning after the fall rains have passd an employee returns from the local canyon roads with a grin ear to ear. The only words that part from his quivering lips are, "for such a Monster, she handles like a butterfly, floating down the straights and falling into the turns with not a worry on her mind".
Heath.
OOOh!
The flag refers to Italy, country of manufacture.
The bike is a Monster, of course...
The 'M' is either the designation for Monster, the first Ducati product (a 'Manens,') or for Giuseppe Montano, the first manager for Ducati Mecchanica SpA.
The Butterfly refers to the butterfly valve (like on a 1098 exhaust?)
Fire refers to the final summation by MCN when they realized Ducati had built a bike to challenge the r1- 'The Ducati is Fire!' http://www.ducati.com/scoopage.jhtml?area=promo&scoopNum=035
and Rain always seems to be a winning element for Ducati in Motogp.
Ok, I statrted this so I guess I should put in my two cents worth. [thumbsup]
The Flag = Home of origin
The Bike = New generation Monster 696
Butterfly = The tranformation of the original Monster to what is is today (new gen 696)
Rain & Fire = New gen 696 will rain fire upon the competition
M = Monster (representing all things magnifeco)
Not as poetic as some but oh well....Glad to start the great debat. [clap]
It's simple.
The M stands for "marketing".
And the rest stands for... ..."marketing" also.
so who won? ;D
^ I will announce the Winner @6:00pm.
