This is my first time to this forum. I just bought a 2002 Monster S4 with less than 500 miles on it. I've been wanting a Ducati for years ...and it was worth the wait!! [thumbsup] I've been away from motorcycles for 26 years. i sold my 1973 Kawasaki 750 Triple after my son was born. I got away from bikes..raising a family and working...fast forward 26 years and taht same son brought home a 1972 Suzuki "water buffalo" and damn if he didn't whet my appetite for a bike!! The Suzuki was sold when my son went into the Air Force but I was already goner - I missed the sound of a bike and the feel of the open road. Ducati always fascinated me and I began The Search. All the way to Ohio on a Saturday afternoon with a good buddy...we left Iowa at 4 am and were back in my driveway at 8pm the same day with my new treasure. The Monster is aptly named - it goes like stink!! It's a GREAT place to spend disposable income!! And the open road never went by faster!! I am DEFINITELY and HAPPILY a confirmed Ducatista 8)
Welcome!! Post up some pics of that bike so we can ooh and ahhh. [thumbsup]
[thumbsup] Welcome back to the wonderful world of motorcycles Kwduc. Familiar story with lots of the guys I road with years back. Me, I just couldn`t put the toys down and never went without a least one in the toy box. Took me up to a month ago to get my first Ducati. I agree with everything you said about Ducati.
Welcome kwduc, congrats on your new S4. +1 on the pictures, glad you are having a great time with it. [moto]
