While Tiffer's and I were cruising around Ducati Island on Saturday, we happened to notice the famous Toasty the Toaster sitting on the DESMOHIO table.
Tiffany was talking to Chris, ran some interference and I swiped Toasty and walked off.
Here is Toasty and I walking in Gasoline Alley / Paddock Area with the Pagoda in the background

I forgot the best part of this trip for Toasty..........
We were in line getting ready to enter Pit Access and I swear, about 15 people came up to me and asked why I had a Toaster and what the purpose was. I explained to them about the history and how everyone signs the guest book, etc. Everyone thought it was so cool.
Also, right when I was taking the picture of Tiffany, some foreign news crew came up and started video taping the toaster and tiffany. It was obvious the guy couldn't speak english, but gave us a huge thumbs up.
Somewhere in the world this past weekend, Toasty was on TV.....................

I'm used to problems. The guy had a point I suppose, even though he probably just put it in his pocket. Plus, I imagine it caused questions sitting in Ducati Island with a "Towed" tag on the forks.

I don't make the beast with two backs around like that if it affects other people. If it were just me, it might have been a whole different deal. Although for just 10 bucks, I still might have just paid it and told him to put it towards a new hearing aid.

I kind of want to keep him til my wedding in November.
He has never been to the Southern Most Point in the US, then he could make a tour of Florida with the CDC
He hasnt had green chile either. I think a tour of New Mexico is in order. I'll come up in November and crash your wedding and take him. [beer]

You guys can come party in Key West, unfortunately, crashing the actual wedding will be very difficult.
When you get married on a sail boat, only a limited number of people are allowed.
However, feel free to come party with us on Duval Street after 8pm

I have no clue what the significance of the bricks is.
I don't even know what they are. Perhaps the path to the bathroom?

Seriously?
Well, if you's for reals, here ya go:
"Following an initiative by automotive parts and highway pioneer Carl G. Fisher, an Indiana native who was both a former race car driver and one of the principal investors in the track, the safety concerns for race drivers and spectators eventually led to a substantial additional expenditure to pave the track surface with 3.2 million paving bricks, thus giving the track its popular nickname "The Brickyard." Today, 3 feet (0.91 m) of original bricks still remain at the start/finish line."

Read a book.
I read two-three every week. There is a library in my apartment.
Jagstang and I were in the Island most of the weekend.
We were very well behaved on saturday because we forgot the beer, and didn't want to pay $.50/ounce at the track.
Sunday, I was carrying around a backpack (not cooler) full of cowboy cool budweiser and heineken, while nick carried a camelback full of redbull/vodka. We were both super-wasted by noon, and probably made a spectacle of ourselves in the tent.
Btw, if anyone of you found my sunglasses (ray-ban aviators) that's awesome, and I don't particularly want them back.
If you found my wallet however, I would really appreciate it if you could drop it in the mail (address on my expired license). It would have been full of expired drivers licenses, student id's, and some other bullshit. No credit cards or anything like that.
