Title: Bullet Bike?
Post by: nkryptit on September 18, 2008, 12:57:42 PM
I've never heard/seen this term before....I'm assuming its just like crotch rocket.

Used twice in the first few lines, from Utah I think.

I was gonna punch something if they said "bullet bike" one more time.  No helmet and no shirt??  Most people wouldn't have survived that in full gear.  He must have been flung away before the bike nudged itself ever so gently under the 'burban.

Sometimes 'natural selection' doesn't work as designed. This guy is off to reek havoc another day. After he gets out of jail anyway.

I think "crotch rocket" is not PC enough for those folk.  "Bullet bike" sells more tickets it seems.

Captain O'Hagan: I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says, " bullet bike."
Mac: Hey Farva what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?
Farva: You mean Bullet Bikes?
Mac: OOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Thorny: OOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

+1, everybody says "bullet bike" in Utah.  I usually politely correct them with "sport bike."  I don't like the negative connotation "bullet" leaves on me.

well in this case, bullet reflects how dangerous the rider was, in that he nearly killed a family. jerk

I just don't see how he managed to get that bike wedged up under that SUV, with no shirt or helmet, and only suffered a few scrapes

27 years old ...and he says he's "acting something out from a video game"?!

Sounds like something a 13 yr old would say   [roll]

It may just be me, but it really irritates me when a news outlet covers a story using slang terms. It's cheap and usually inflammatory. I thought the news was supposed to focus on proper grammar and reporting the facts in a clear and concise way.

not today. the only reason the 'media' can get away with the yellow journalism they are is because no one wants to take them on. everytime someone does they screem 1st amendment. they should stop calling it news and start calling it what it is... "opinionated, biased viewpoints of people with political agendas"

Not to mention that most media outlets have been bought out by large corporations and cut their staff to the bare minimum, so the "online editor/writer" is likely to be completely unqualified.

Maybe you get points for killing families in the video game?  Plus you can always hit the Reset button if you f-up...  Right?
