Title: S4R front brake torque values
Post by: Palooka on September 18, 2008, 06:22:22 PM
Folks,
I've had a look around but can't seem to find the correct torque settings for the front brake bolts on an '04 S4R. I'm changing pads this weekdn.

Thanks
Palooka

Yes I did. Different model, different brakes.

Anyone?

Even though your bike has radial calipers, the spec remains 43 Nm.

Hi Howie. I'm assuming you meant NON radial calipers and that what you're saying is that the torque value is the same regardless.

Thanks for clarifying mate!

43 Nm is correct for the S4R calipers.

Thanks guys.....

....next question.

The metal dust covers that clip over the top of the cailpers have loosened up quite a bit when I re-installed them, to the point of rattling quite a bit. Is there a technique to snug them up a bit to stop the rattling?

Thanks
Palooka

p.s. I LOVE doing DIY with the Monster. More than any other bike I've owned.  [thumbsup]
