Depending on what kind of time we make to Weatherford, we'll eat lunch there. Otherwise, we will get lunch after the ride ends.
Who's in: [moto]
Barnee
Thelma
CJ
Bryant8 (maybe)
Who's out:
Fastwin
DLS
I'd like to go but I will be out of town this weekend. ;D
I'm up for this. [thumbsup]
So who's in so far?
Pinky's being a wuss :(
I'm heading out in a few minutes to drive the route to check out the road conditions. [thumbsup]
I don't think I'll make this, I'm changing fluids on the bike and tweaking my chock setup in the truck. Although if I finish early I'd like to know where/when you'll start.

It looks like 718 or 730 would also get us to Boyd do you have any experience with either of these roads?
Boat Club Road/Morris Dido to 718 will be more fun than 287/114. [thumbsup] Say no to slab.... [moto]
We can either meet at the Starbucks at Western Center and 35 or the one at Saginaw Main and Bailey Boswell at about 8:30ish?
What say you?
Jim just called, and it's official: 8:30 @ Starbucks--Saginaw Main (Bus 287) and Bailey Boswell (http://tinyurl.com/49acex).
No, it's not Arkansas, but it is scooter fun nonetheless. ;)
Okay, after riding the route today, we've made some minor revisions. Less slab!
Roads look good. Traffic was mild to non-existant most of the time. I only had to pass one car and was keeping a decent clip the whole time.
George has suggested a less slabby route from Saginaw to Bridgeport (hooray! [clap] ).
The stretch from Boyd to Cottondale to Bridgeport is pretty fun. Some loose gravel on the other side of Cottondale, but nothing too hairy.
920 south from Bridgeport to Weatherford will be a hoot if we don't get stuck behind any slow pokes (like I did a couple times). Passing zones are limited due to lots of hills and curves (the good stuff, right! [moto] ).
Maybe lunch in Weatherford. Depending on timing, otherwise head east back to Lake Worth following 730 and 1886 (those are a hoot and was somewhat reminiscent of the Austin area).
All this is reflected in the original post. But here's a link to Sunday's route.

That looks like a really great route. I'd seriously like to make one of these day-rides one day but if it's not my schedule, it's Alan's :-[
Hope y'all have a GREAT day [thumbsup]
Peace Love and Motorcycles ;D

[thumbsup] Looks like great weather... [moto]
That was a fun ride! Thanks for coming CJ! This weather is awesome and we shouldn't let is pass us by without taking advantage of it again. Let's see how next Sunday looks!
Here's the only pic we took during the ride.

This was a pretty darn good route. For 111 miles, it's over with pretty quick though. I have an additional loop drafted out that I need to go test-drive. If it pans out, the longer route could make for a good 4-5 hour ride including a lunch.
Man, some of those roads out there are really nice.

Nice ride Jim and Lyndy [thumbsup]
Thanks Jim for planning the route and leading, we'll have to visit those roads again. [moto]
