What's your machine, grinders, roaster, tamper, beans etc etc
You know the drill.... so my setup:
Machine: ECM Giotto, currenty running a 22g backet :o
Grinder: Gaggia MDF - not all that happy with it, but it's OK.
Roaster: Currently Rio Coffee, Adelaide (until Paul, Alex etc at Mecca get it sorted)
Tamper: who knows, generic 58mm flat based
Beans: Mecca's house roast

Been fighting the overwhelming urge to buy a machine.
When I get one it's all over.
I'd never leave the house.
If I was to become housebound what grinder and machine should I get?

Depends on your budget.
I would think a Sunbeam paul bassett grinder and a Rancilio Silvia would be more than a decent start. I would think you'd be set up with that (inc accessories) for under $1k.
Machine: Bialetti stove top espresso pot
Grinder: Mazzer Mini !
Roaster: St Ali
Tamper: not necessary
Beans: St Ali espresso blend
raw organic sugar, full cream milk
International Roast, milk, sugar, hot water.
That's gonna give Nick a heart attack and Rob to say, yep, that's what I drink.
[cheeky]

International roast tastes heaps better than some of the coffee coming out of espresso machines around Sydney

Don't do coffee but love my Chai..... ;D
Jeez Super, I must be a bbit more up-market than you,
Nescafe, boiling water from the old kettle, and lots of milk.
Or as I like to say, 'Hot black coffee with cold white milk'.
Mmick (ah! - starting to feel like home)
I have an old Breville Clunker (not official model name) It is about 10yr old, makes about 6-8 coffees a day. Vittoria beans ground using my wifes old herb blender..
Works a charm! :bang
I've heard (and tasted) how good the rancilio Silva is, has anyone had experience with the Francis X series from Italy?
I have a Coffee Club Store. I just go to the Barista who is working that day, and say, " can I please have a Latte"
and then one appears in front of me. Of course if my Wife happens to be working that day, I have to make my own........................................ :-X

Trento the maestro barista brews (at St Ali) the best damn coffee in Melbourne called 'the magic' - a double ristretto pour turned into a flat white in a medium size (think long black) ceramic cup. Magic. Name says it all, really.
oh spider, now you've started.. Wait till big sees this thread...
