Riding.
I ride year round but I know some of you don't. The cooler weather is finally almost here and I'd like to try to get one more group ride in for the season. Some of my favorite roads will only be rideable for a few more weeks, then they'll be covered in leaves and gravel etc etc.
Newb? Seasoned rider? Any and all are welcome to ride along so long as you're legal to be out on the road ie; "M" endorsement on you license, current reg and ins papers. Full gear isn't required but highly recommended as the roads will be technical and the pace can get stupidly and irresponsibly fast whilst in the twistys or backroads. Otherwise, the speed limits and traffic laws will be obeyed everywhere.
Not to scare people away or anything but... riders going down on my rides are becoming a regular occurrence. I feel responsible in part but there's only so much I can do. I always try make sure that each and every person has fair warning about my road choice and pace. In the end, it's up to each rider to decide their pace and it's up to each rider to make sure that they DO NOT ride above their skill level in order to try to keep up. It's not a race and we don't get trophies at the end of the day. As most of you folks already know, I'll wait at each turn off or intersection for the group to reform before moving on. These rides aren't testosterone fests, they're just about having fun while trying to achieve smoothness with your bike.
All that being said...
You all know my steezz by now... Meeting up in Bklyn in the am, then heading to points west. The route isn't set yet but it'll be fun. Expect the stops to be at a minimum (although my bike is VERY thirsty), and expect to be home late. Slab will be at a minimum until the long, dark, and cold ride home.
Never been on a "US" ride before? Now's your chance.

Pretty much [laugh].
No but seriously, they're all amazing riders, we all just to remember our personal limits. As an example, there's this right to left chicane that I know that's rated for 15mph. Both turns are 90°. We take that turn somewhere around 90mph. AFAIK, some of us are on the ragged edge during that chicane, some of us are humming along to that Santogold/Diplo remix. All is well as long as we're all in our comfort zone.
As far as I recall, you weren't too bad a rider yourself, you just needed more confidence.

FWIW - If I had gone on a US ride after a month of riding - I would have given up after 4 miles and went home. 8)

I was so new to the sport I didnt even want to ride on the highway LOLOLOL now i cruise at 95 on the highway but yea GC rides fast and fearless from what I remember (was like 2 years ago)

Might do a short ride, my lower/horizontal header is cracked, which I discovered taking the bike off the truck in Indy. I think the result of manhattan potholes and Arden Rd :-\
Terry's monster is running like shit, and he's waiting on a set of throttle bodies to replace, which will hopefully solve the problem.

I wish I could go this week. My bike isn't back yet from getting serviced and the GF sprung a last minute family bbq at my house on me for Sunday. I hope I can get in one more ride w/ us this season

I have a FI throttle body sans the injectors lying around if you need some parts. Let me know.

I had a similar problem then. My injector crapped out and it was one quarter the cost buying the used throttle body with injectors than a single new injector. :P

I've got a pair of cracked sp1 carbon Akra's that you're welcome to use... They're kinda loud though...
