Title: Bike ramp
Post by: b.b. on September 22, 2008, 06:04:03 PM
Where can I get a bike ramp locally? Does anyone know if Black Widow ramps are sold here, or something similar. Looking for a wide ramp so it will be easier to load her up.

Thanks and see you at track day...

I have a Black Widow ramp.  I bought it from discountramps.com.  It was about 3-4 week delivery though.

I don't know of anyplace local that sells arched ramps like it.  I know the cyclegear in plano has a few folding ramps, but they weren't long enough for my truck bed height w/o scraping the belly

It's a great ramp, I can load my bike into the bed of my Tacoma by myself with no worries.

*edit*
oh yeah, I bought the 9ft ramp

Have you checked with Moto Liberty?

How 'bout Home depot or Lowes?!?

Also...

Check Harbor Freight.  They have several to choose from on their website, and I am pretty sure I've seen a couple in the local stores.  I think I've also seen a set at Cycle Gear (but I could be dreaming).

Also, check dallas.craigslist.org for 'motorcycle ramp'.  There are a few on there right now for $100 or less.

also northerntool.com has several:  http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/NTESearch?storeId=6970&N=0&Ntk=All&Ntt=ramp&Nty=1&D=ramp&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dx=mode+matchallpartial

they have several DFW locations you can pick up from.

Thanks to all that replied, I have ordered one from discount ramps as Bryant8 suggested. The local ramps did not have the right size and folding capability that the on-line retailer offered.

Nice, I had to wait almost 3 weeks for mine.  I ordered it around this time last year.  It works really great.  My Dad borrows it for his riding lawn mower and wood chipper when he cleans up some properties
