Route: Henry Hudson Drive onto Westside Highway to Brooklyn bridge to 4th ave to home.
Location of people trying to kill me: West Side Highway
Incident:
WSH is a 3 lane street (its not really a highway) thats usually packed full of drivers trying to get back to jersey. im in the slow lane, riding in the middle when out of no where a make the beast with two backsing SUV jerks into my lane, i react by moving right, and baliring my Stebel horn and gasing it. I look back the guys gives me the point to the eyes symbol.
Now usually that means "watch". Now seriously, I make the beast with two backsIGN SEE YOU, DO YOU make the beast with two backsING SEE ME ASSHOLE? WHY DONT YOU WATCH.
How close was he? I was parallel to him so if he actually bothered to turn his make the beast with two backsing head, he would of saw me.
Incident 2: 45 seconds later a taxi cut me of when my bike hasnt even clearned the side of his car yet. If i didnt slow down, I would of been hit. This happens fairly often, so I'm not gonna count it that much. The worst part is, when they continue to move into your lane, brake, and try to cut across the other lane, and when he breaks into the other lane, he stops so he can make a U turn. Again, happens everyday, i'm use to that one, i was caught of guard.
Incident 3: Worst one. After canal street, i was going 30mph with a redlight in front of me. no big deal. traffic is still crusing, ive got about 600 feet before i need to start braking. Just cruising. Out of no where anoter make the beast with two backsing suv, this time a Volvo, decides it would be a great idea to come out into my lane becasue his lane is moving to slow.
How close was he? I felt his front bumper on my thigh. Worst part was i was on the left side of the middle. he was on in my right lane. You know how far you need to make the beast with two backsing move to even make contact with me?
I stopped dead cold. turned around and stuck my finger at him and held it for a good 5 seconds and i screamed make the beast with two backs you asshole while everyone searched for the person i was aiming my finger at.

seriously though. Everyday something happens. im suprised i havent fallen of my bike yet. I met a Honda commuter and he says hes fallen of his bike 5x cause of taxis hitting him at 2-3mph. :o i think id start a cage fight if that ever happened to me. I wont go as far as burning myself alive, but pretty damn close.
I used to bet mad, break off mirrors, smash door panels -- but not anymore.

I got cut off once, and threw the "what the make the beast with two backs" arms up, and next thing I know he was waving his glock at me.
I think I'll just ride defensivley and let them go on their way.
