Yesterday here at Purdue one of my fellow midshipmen lost his life on a motorcycle.
He had bought the motorcycle that day. Was wearing safety gear, the whole nine yards. Wasn't being stupid. Was no fault of his own.
A semi ran completely over him from behind while he was stopped at a red light.
People are idiots.
Damn...sorry to hear that.
RIP

That's definitely one of my biggest fears with motorcycling... getting smashed from behind while at a light.

Oh man, RIP.... That's terrible...
Ever since I got rear ended I literally fear it being worse next time. I now sit at red lights feeling like I am standing in the line of fire at a shooting range just waiting to be hit. I stare in my mirror and don't even blink and at times due to paranoia I end up running the reds or taking a right hand turn so as not to be stopped for so long. Everytime I am stopped at a light I am so frigging nervous now it makes me consider hanging it up at times, this story makes me upset.
:'(
Heartbreaking. My prayers and condolences to family and friends.
I am truly saddened by this event. I only ride in a village-town-or city when I have no other choice. Mainly because of the traffic and there are no twisties where I can run .
I can only hope the young man died instanly and did not have to suffer .
I hope Karma visits the Semi driver.
My condolences to the friends and family. RIP Dolph
Wow, hate to hear about another sailor go. RIP shipmate...
Man, I hate to hear these stories. My condolences to his family.
