Title: Speedometer needle...
Post by: thejsnide on September 27, 2008, 02:05:42 PM
So coming home the other night and as I was going through the gears, I noticed my speedometer needle had dropped to about 6 o'clock on the dial.  I stopped the bike to see if it would reset, and there the needle stayed at 6 o'clock.  This had happened to me before, but it was the other way around, i.e. when my bike was stopped the needle stayed at 20 mph.  It eventually went back to 0 mph and I had no problems until now.

So I decided to take my gauge cluster apart to reset the needle which I did in no time at all, and it worked as it should for a short time.  Problem is, the needle will stay put only until I hit a bump or come up over my curb into my driveway.  What can I do?  I have thought about gluing it w/ the tiniest amount of super glue, but figured I would ask some questions before I do anything I am going to regret.

Anyone ever have this problem w/ their gauge cluster?  Can anyone lend me some FHE...  I have a 2005 620 Dark and any input on the subject is welcome.

Tiny bit of superglue fixed mine from doing that. :]
