Jumpin' Jeehoosaphat!!
I just heard/saw what's going on.
Congrats and all the best to the 3 of you.

Guess I might not see you at work tomorrow. Good luck with everything.

[thumbsup]
we need an update...
W00t! [thumbsup]
Many congrats! [clap]
Baby's b-day and the Anniversary on the same day? I kinda like that idea. ;) Makes it easier for the guy to remember these things... of course if he forgets, he's in capital-T-Trouble squared with wifey, because she's NEVER gonna forget the date! [laugh]
Soooo.... update?
Sorry guys, haven't been in the greatest position to update.
Contractions started at 3am, haven't slept much since. ;)
Still getting them but they are more intense, longer, and closer together. Baby is coming soon. [thumbsup]

Jeez, Cierra, get with the program [roll]. Take that laptop into your birthing room and prop it up on that round tummy, and keep us updated every moment by typing in between pushing and contractions.
I'm kidding. that was major sarcasm. ;D
Take care of the important stuff and don't worry about keeping us 'updated'.
Good luck,
JohnnyD
For the record: I didn't mean to suggest Cierra should be providing updates... was hoping for a updates from a third party that's not quite so directly involved. ;) I would imagine C is a little busy with other things.
Now if you could just hang on for 11 more days.... :P
Congrats you two...
Man the big moment has arrived. Hmm contractions started yesterday, the baby must be here by now? So congrats to the both of you for getting married and having the baby! [thumbsup]

Mo - Get your ass on here and post some pictures. [thumbsup]
ok guys, its been a long few days.
Hard to believe Cierra's water broke Saturday night/Sunday morning at about 1:30, and we still managed to get married Sunday morning. She didn't start getting contractions till about 3AM Monday morning. They progressed throughout the day, and mid to late afternoon they became for consistent. We headed into the birthing center at 6PM and settled in. About 7 to 7:30 we started getting ready and got in the tub. Less then 4 hours later little Rowan showed his face.
Cierra is an amazing woman, she handled this with flying colors. I can't even begin to describe the strength she has. The delivery was surprisingly fast for a first time mother, and it was completely clean (no blood). The midwifes all commented on how "picture perfect" this delivery was. For reference, another couple there was in 56 hours of labor, and had difficulties (the baby was to big for her). They are ok, and they had a healthy baby girl, but they had been there 2 days longer then us in active labor. Wow! We felt kind of bad talking with them about our 4 hour labor. :)
Jed and Liza along with Cierra's mom were there for us. It was really nice to have this birth with only family, and some of our friends there with us.
We are home now, so if you are interested in stopping by, please just give us a call and make sure Cierra isnt running around naked trying to toss a boob into the kids mouth. :)
Anyways, here is what you all have been waiting for, some peectures.
Rowan after he just came out.

We hung out in the tub for about an hour after he was born, waiting on the placenta to come out and for him to finish circulating its blood.

[laugh] I would imagine it's been a very long last few days!
Only 4 hrs of active labor? From what I've heard other moms say, that's pretty amazing for a first child...
Congrats again on the brand-new Miller family! [clap] Can't wait to see the new little one!
Congratulations guys!!
Thanks guys!
The first night we were amazed at how much Rowan slept, and how quiet he was. I was beginning to think we had some miracle baby who didnt cry. WRONG. :) You see, the first day he didn't know what hunger felt like, he was never hungry before, well day two, he started getting hungry, and the second night was really painful. We were up most of the night last night trying to get him to feed, but thats not something he really knows how to do yet. He is learning just like we are how to breastfeed. Its funny, he knows where the milk comes from, he can smell it, but he has no real idea how to make it work. :)
Anyways, its been awesome, and a huge learning experience for us all.
That is so beautiful.... i am happy for you all...
Thanks for the pics... although that is way more of Mo than I wanted to see ;D Cute baby. Congrats again! [thumbsup]
Beautiful! Beautiful! But please, no more pictures of Mo in the tub :P
Scott

He's saving his energy for me dear. 3 months is a long time apart you know. :-*
Man you guys are funny. I haven't been on in a couple days (been a little busy.. ;D )
Anyhow, Rowan and I are doing wonderfully. I'm healing a little more every day and becoming more mobile, which is a great thing because I'm not a big fan of sitting around and doing nothing. Mo has been a total trooper, cleaning the house for me, making food, and making sure I have everything I need brought to me. He deserves a big round of applause for being a fantastic husband and father. [clap]
Anyway, we are so happy and so high on love right now, thanks for all your well wishes guys.

You know what you sound like . . . ?
Hey I think I already did but hell anything worth doing is worth doing a second time - Congratulations you three! Cierra sweetie . . . don't rush it. Take the time to just settle in and snuggle . . . bond with the little man . . . enjoy your first days/weeks as much as possible.
I do have to admit I'm a tad dissapointed the little snapper wasn't named after me though :P Then again I guess if you stood on your yard yelling Asshole get in the house to your kid the neighbors would call child services.
That shit would be funny for baptism though "Oh dear lord please bless Asshole and take him into your fold . . ." freaking minsister/pastor/priest whatever would have a tough time with that one [evil]
Oh shit wait . . . no talk of religion . . . I'll have to go hurt myself now as penance. [bang]
