Title: strange feeling in the pegs. HELP
Post by: MAD ISON on September 30, 2008, 02:48:38 AM
I have a 2004 S4R and love it. It runs like a raped ape.  However there is a small issue.  If Im going around 40 or so and pull in the clutch or put it in neutral
I can fell a bump or knock in the left foot peg. It seems to be rotational. only every 1 or so revolutions I feel the knock in the peg. I cant hear it only feel it.

So I look at the chain. It looks good. It does look alittle tight. but thats it.  Also I dont notice this in gear at speed.

What do you think<

Im running a 520 did xring with afam set up. around 4k on the chain.

Just a thought and FHE when I did my 520 conversion. Re-check the torque on the front sprocket and the rear cush/sprocket nut. On mine, the rear nut wasn't even finger tight and was being held in place by the retainer clip!!  :o And this was this was from the factory!  [puke] I had the same noise/feeling everyonce in a awhile and thought it was due to the 14t I changed out. I rechecked everything twice and chocked it up to a tighter radius of the chain....

How many miles are on your chain?  When was the last time you lubed it?  It might be a bound link that you're feeling.
