I sold the 675.
It's new owner is, at this moment, riding a portion of his 800 mile trip home.
Good guy, he'll love the bike for sure.
But, I am bikeless now :'(
It's not likely I'll be able to go get my SMR before the snow flies, so I'm probably limited to feet or 4 wheels until spring.
I don't know how I'll cope.
I've been there bro, just hang in there. As long as you know you're getting another one you'll live. The four months I went without seem like they almost never happened now.
OMG 4 months?!?!
Im freakin out and it's only been like 6 hours!
I think you should buy my soon to be vintage and extremely rare 1999 M900 Cromo! Or at least bid on my Oreo if I decide to relist....
If I buy the bike, does the oreo come with?
Drive up the 90 to Buffalo and "steal" one of our bikes. We have a couple extra hanging around. [roll]
Seriously, B and I are planning an end of the season/foliage ride in a couple weekends. Come up and join us. [thumbsup]
Sounds tempting, thanks!
BTW, you clearly give yourself away as a NY-ite as you refer to the highway as "the 90" [laugh]
Only in NY ;D
Sold my bike 6 weeks ago and ordered my 696 a few days later. Still waiting. Watching beautiful riding days come and go. Watching the leaves change, temperatures drop....... [bang] [bang] I feel your pain.

Yeah, I maybe a NY-er, but I'm a VT-er deep down.
You can take the redneck out of Hicksville, but you can't take the redneck out of the girl. [cheeky]
come and visit..... I got's an extra bike ya'll can ride.
To DD and bp
[laugh]
[thumbsup]
Get a bicycle and put on an MP3 soundtrack of your favorite engine!
For you, the Oreo comes with!

Interesting... I'd always thought calling highways "the XX" was strictly a California thing.
And I'd offer to let you come down and borrow a bike to go for a ride, but I don't think you'd have much fun riding my mountain bike. [laugh]

Ohhhh.. winter .... of course here in Florida it hardly ever lasts past 10:30 in the morning...
OK.. I'll wait 3 hours to ride..
Or.. like we are discussing in another thread.. get a PS2 and Tourist Trophy!! You can ride a 999 or if you want naked, you can ride a brutale :) fun way to kill some time.. :)
Just curious what kind of smr you're getting? It's ridiculous how much fun those things are, mines not street legal but I would just get in trouble if it was haha.
I still don`t get this whole riding season thing ;D ;D ;D ;D [thumbsup]
You guys with your no riding season. . . you all suck.
Here it's basically 6 months on, 6 months off.

ML:
Why that over the Hyper?
Just curious because I am looking into a Hyper.
Thanks
I rode both 7 days apart. I rode the exact same demo route.
The KTM was better, I hate to say it. The Hyper looks tits, for sure, but smile per dollar ratio was in favor of the KTM.
The Duc is just as fast, and stops just as fast. I liked the KTM engine better, just a touch smoother and it had a longer torque curve, or at least it felt like it did.
Suspension was full on WP stuff on the KTM and felt better than the HM (I didn't ride the S)
HM = $14,000 new
KTM = $8300 (with 500 miles on it)
You can't fight the price if it put the same smile on your face! [thumbsup]
I am going to test ride the Hyper Thur or Fri.
Jim
Also, the KTM had a better seat.
I tend to ride some distance now and again and the HM didn't seem like the touring type.
Of course, I did ride my 675 to DIMBY, and that's about as far from a tourer as you can get [laugh]
Report back after you ride it, Im curious to hear what you think.
Will do.
