Title: heated gloves
Post by: CougarSlayer on September 30, 2008, 07:36:49 PM
Can any one make a recommendation on a good pair of heated gloves.  Also if you are a current owner can you tell me a little bit about your experience with heated gloves.

Thanks,

I  have a Gerbing's setup consisting of pants liner, jacket liner and G3 gloves . I control the heat w, a Dual temperature contoller from Gerbings .

The Dual Temp. Controller allows me to control the Gloves separately or any combination of one on one circuit and the other two items on the other circuit .

The gloves work fine.

There are knobs on the temp. controller to adjust the amount of heat.

The power sourece is from your battery. All you have to do is attach the leads to the battery posts . Each item you want to heat uses a certain amount of watts.

Some Ducatis may only have enough extra watts to run two items. There is definitely enough to heat the Gloves .

Check w, your Dealer's Service Dept. as to how many extra watts you have to spare for heated clothing. Gerbings can tell you how many watts each piece of their heated gear requires. Dolph

I have Gerbing (old style)  Nice and toasty, but if I was replacing them I would get these:

Kind of tangential, but....

If you don't have a vest or jacket liner already, get that *first*.
Keeping your body core warm is the first priority.
If your body is warm, it won't reduce the blood flow to your extremities, so your hands and feet will stay warm(er).
