ciao a tutti -
about a week away from oct 12th now ... LDD2008 in la ducati (honda).
all of our vendors this year have confirmed they will be there, bringing cool stuff, lots of certificates to bid on in the two auctions (la honda fire brigade, and new for this year, riders for health), leo vince usa has promised us a great ducati music challenge event this year, the folks at motion pro will be bringing their big truck for gear check and the cool honda fiddies for the slow bike races, jim lindemann will be tuning suspension all day long, the concorso is looking to be the best one to date, ducati north america is bringing their demo fleet for test rides all day, sf dainese is hosting their fashion show, and DMF MOB will be sponsoring/holding the monster challenge ... all this, and more!!!
we even have a surprise monster owner riding up from so cal ... so we hope that ALL of the dmf MOB crew will attend LDD2008.
a presto,
johnc
What the sticky thread (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=6710.0) wasn't enough?
Easy, DQ. It's a good reminder.
I think some of the MOB will be at T-Hill, but I'll be sure to be there. [thumbsup]

I know...just giving John his usual dose of crap ;D
I'm hoping to be there too...provided I can get the Monster rebuilt in time.
Yeah, John's a shameless post-whore. :P
Sadly though, I'm going to miss it. Will be in Vancouver (eh).

Conspiring with the other Canadarians? You know, you can see Alaska from there ;D
I'm not sure if I will be out there. Aaron's memorial services are tentatively set for next weekend, but no exact date yet. I assume it will be on Sunday, so depending on time...and my state of mind...I'll try to make it out for a while.
are we going to be doing a gigantic ride down there again?

I missed it last year, I'd be into the big group ride down. [thumbsup]

We can, but it's a little late to organize. I planned the thing for like 3 weeks beforehand last time and Heather helped with getting BARF monster riders involved (she's known on BARF). It was kind of a clustermake the beast with two backs. I'd be up for an 11:30 meet-up at Alice's and then a ride down to LDD, but it's important to remind people that it's parade lap pace, not a ride. That means near the speed limit in a lot of places. I'd be happy to have the MOB folks ride in together. It doesn't have to be the 80-100 bikes we had last year, though it was f'n cool.
If ya want to do it, I can post something up Mon eve. Basically, it'll be meet at Alice's at 11:30 with an 11:45 departure. Ride from SF meets at 10:30, leave at 10:45 (or you can ride the twisties in the morning and meet us at Alice's).
sweet!
like warren says ... please conduct a parade lap pace, as the po-po will be in force that day.
please remember, we will have parking fascists on duty the whole day, to make certain that monsters are the only model duc that can park in the front "monsters only" parking area ... so if you get a bunch of non-monsters making the mob ride down from alices, please mind the parking fascists ... they are only doing their little fascist duties [thumbsup]
a presto,
johnc

Shelli has asked me to help out with the Dainese booth and fashion show, so I'll be there for sure. Can't wait for the noise contest! [thumbsup] Bring those earplugs.

fo-sho!!! plenty of parking in front, to the left side of the entrance, and plenty in the very front of the parking lot.
the ONLY reserved parking for monsters only is right in front of the stores.

ciao dan - sure for you, no worries.
just park your 749 in the front entrance, to the left side (lindemann will be on the right side of entrance), and post a for sale sign on it, with phone number tear-offs.
