Here's a link to the thread on the DeVal site. If anybody wants to jump in you're more than welcome.

I've been wanting to go up there for a while. I am in, just give me a date. The meet up place sounds good.

October 12th and I didn't see a time for the East Stroudsbourg meetup but I see that the Allentown contingent are hooking up at 9am so that puts them in Stroudsbourg around 9:30-9:45 or so.

Bumping this guys...looks like there will be 10+ monsters plus a group of hypers meeting up. People are coming from far and wide. If anyone wants to go and is leaving from nyc or L.I. I can meet up at a hudson river crossing of your choice to head to the rt 209 intercept point.

Why you guys would be leaving all your good roads behind for a 1/4 mile stretch of road is beyond me, however, we'll be meandering our way through there from Bkyln around noon (but we never stop at the nest) and we'll be heading to points northeast then turning west, then heading north again... after that we'll be heading east, then south, then east, then north, then east before our final run back down south-ish  [laugh]...

Your group's welcome to tag along.

Last year they asked about Hawk's Nest, I warned them that it's more of a photo op than anything else. On the way there last year we were shown a fun little road called Old Mine road, at least that's kinda worthwhile. PM me your route and I'll see if a portion might want to splinter off for a bit more of an intense ride. So far I ended up suggesting at the very least to head a little more north to Shohola-->434-->6-->739-->back down to 209 and then they can head back home. They're not the greatest roads around but I figured it at least adds in something better than just 209 back down without adding on too many miles for those that aren't masochistic. BTW, my mileage record now stands at 730 in a day so I'm up an add-on ride to ours.

No no no  [cheeky]. Like I said, we'll be heading to points north - east/west, then west, then north, then east then south in a roundabout sort of way. We should be reaching PJ/Nest around noon, give or take a few. If you can convince some people to tag along, that'd be great, but I don't want to divulge too much unless you all are committed...

I'd split off, but I always believe in sticking with who you came with. Maybe next time.
However, will you guys be grabbing lunch around noon or is starvation a part of your grueling ride as well.  [cheeky]
Maybe we can all hook up for at least lunch before paths deviate.

Sent you pm anyway... as far as lunch... we won't be stopping. We rarely ever stop for lunch but this time of year we definitely don't, the daylight is too short for that. Anyway, who can think about food when you're concentrating on the twistys in front of you?

I just follow the behavior of the group I'm with at the time. I can do the marathon runs or the slower paced tours equally well.
This might be the last run for me this year though. I've got two bikes to tear down this winter and make better so I'm going to start early.

It ended up being a group of 30+, there were Monsters, R6s, ZX10Rs, a Vrod, old GSXR 1100 and a bunch of other stuff. Due to it being so many bikes it wasn't a frantic pace and it took a little while to get everyone going again anytime we stopped but all in all it was a nice day.

Yep, we were there around 1 o'clockish?? maybe?

Mike, thanks for posting up this ride it was a lot of fun, especially that freshly paved section after old mill road when you were leading. I still can't believe vrod guy (poconoduc's husband?) was hanging with the sport bikes there. I'm also just remembering passing that statey doing 3-4x the posted...ahh the benefits to riding in a group. Anyway when I get free maybe we should hit up an infamous GC ride together before you strip down your bike. And nice meeting everyone there, I'll probably throw a few posts on that deval forum now and then and speak to marco about getting some things powdercoated. See you on the next ride. -sean

I stopped over to chat for a few min, not sure if you saw me. I also saw a bunch of you at the Diner-I was really happy to run into other Duc's.  :)
Do you guys have any rides coming up?

Not sure about them but you're welcome to come with us tomorrow. Since I'm still getting over my bug, the pace won't be the fire that I originally intended. PM for details if you're interested.

I'm doing the Ramapo MC Fall Foliage (http://www.ramapomc.org/FFR.html) (putt putt) Ride (for some charity)

Terry is out, still under the weather.  So I'll be doing this putt putt ride with some friends.

It's going to be slow, but I had a blast this past weekend, with the 2 trackdays, so I don't mind taking it easy on this one, plus the weather is cooler.

Petmonster, if you like you're welcome to join,  like I said the pace will be slow and newbie friendly.   ;)

we're meeting at 8am on Riverside Dr and 89th, or at the Eldorado Diner in Elmsford, NY.
PM me if interested
