Title: For the mountainbiking nuts at NYMMC
Post by: CDawg on October 07, 2008, 07:17:13 AM
Just found this cool free-ride park!

P.S. I don't ride, but it looks cool and they rent bicycles!

That park's been around for a while now... as cool as the stunts are there, most folks still go to Central Park... all the rock formations are hard to beat!

Don't get me wrong... there's no xc in the park, well there is but it's not worth it. You might as well still to Cathedral, Stillwell, rocky Point if that's you're looking for... if it's big moves, big drops you're looking for, CP is it. You can either trials your way around the park or roll everything if you have 6+ inches of travel...

Thats what i'm looking for and i have 7 in the front and 8 in the bike.  I get bored with trails easily  ;D, unless they have seriously awesome downhill sections

I`m more of an XC guy myself. I Still prefer my hardtail and semi slicks. It`s faster. Endurance is what it was all about to me before I got out of shape.

There seems to be a lot more fences up in the park too. Which makes some things (certainly not all) either impossible or far more difficult to "leave quickly" if needed...

True! Ever try an out sprint a piggie on a horse or a piggie in truck on a 50lb dh bike? Not fun. Your best bet is to throw your bike on your car, throw on the body armor, and head out to Mtn.Creek...

Just for fun...

GC how many F`n bikes you got. I`m sure there is about a dozen BMX`s too. When you gonna come out here. Did you ever ride the new trail off of the clearview. My friend helped build it w/ the NYMBC, say`s its his favorite.
