They work OK, but I find the sound unpleasant.

They're loud and very raspy.

You could do that.

I've always liked the way Arrows sound.

If you can get the ones with the inserts (dB killers) you have some choice on how loud they are.

Well, it wouldn't ever sound like a cruiser or chopper, no matter what you did on the exhaust.

Check out our classifieds section, there may be someone selling some cans.

most DP branded cans sound good and are legal in my state.

It may vary where you live.

D&D might be the most choppery sounding cans out there.  I local picked up an S4 w/ some and ditched them about as soon as he could.  They were loud and had an annoying sound to them.  I don't have problems with loud that sounds good.  A nick name I've heard floated for D&D's Deaf and Dumb.  They will make you deaf and they sound dumb.

I just modified my M900 stock exhaust this weekend and took the bike today to work - what a HUGE difference and I absolutely LOVE the sound!  Much louder, but low and mellow and sweet.  It is not raspy or annoying at all.  I'm actually giddy about it.  It cost me about $20 in drill bits and jigsaw blades, but I did the whole thing with the cans on the bike.  Before spending $800 on some aftermarket slip-ons I'd try this first - what do you have to lose?  I posted a thread with some instructions and pictures recently if you're interested.

The D&D carbon cans have a great sound, it's the aluminum ones that are a little tinny. The chrome finish hardware is very durable, the black painted stuff is not.

I've never seen/heard them in carbon.

Interesting.

I must have a fluke set of D&D cans.  They're not as loud as everyone says  (95db).  In fact I think my DP cone shaped are louder.  The fit and finish on the D&D is very disappointing.  The chrome flaked badly.  The aluminum is pitted.  And most the metal is rusting.

I put the D&D back on for track days.  I may take them off this winter, hit them with a wire wheel and spray them with some gray heat paint.  And use them for track only.

I wouldn't say Termis are the best, but I wouldn't say *any* exhaust is the best.

It's really fairly subjective, depends what you like and want.
