"really! well i heard....". after doing a poll of the ten riders i have 4 believers, 3 non believers 2 i dont know and 1 hell no i don't believe that. one of the believers hasn't had an accident since 85. the hell no had a bell and lowsided in a corner and blames the bell. so lisa i hope that helps a little more.

Yeah Brian, Chris and I were talking about Gremlin Bells at Alan's BBQ. Not sure how it came up but I think I had mentioned something about seeing a giant ElectraGlide or something with this little tiny copper "cow bell" mounted at the lowest point on the frame, under the engine. I was thinking it was probably something to do with that old Saturday Night Live skit with Christopher Walken... "It needs more cow bell..."
But Chris knew it was a Gremlin Bell; a Harley Davidson kind of tradition, I guess you could say (thanks for this latest info too, Chris).
What was also interesting about this is that you're not supposed to buy one for your own bike - it should be given to you as a gift.
I've been looking on line for a source for "gremlin" bells since I know some folks will be travelling in gremlin country here in a couple of weeks 8)
SO! Gremlins beware: we ain't havin' no mo' o' yo' shit :e:v
I thought it had something to do with the extrememely low class "hanging testicle sack" thingy that's advertised in the back of Cycle World magazine that you hang off of your bike. There is a truck version too. :P
lisa if you type in harley gremlin bells in google there are several web sites selling them.

I guess that would go well with the Duc' udder. ;:|
Moto Liberty has several different styles in stock ;)
Hmmm. A local source is even better. As many times as I've been in there, you'd think I would have seen 'em r:e) Too busy sizing up all the other cool stuff I guess...
The Harley dealer in Corinth has a nice selection, but I'm waiting for a Taz Devil in gold that hubby can get me. For the Duc, I want a gold Italian horn for my good luck charm. [cheeky]
apparently we have several believers me however i'm not very supersticious. but i am not against puttin one on. the horn however does sound very cool since it's italian.
