Title: Monster 1100(S) pricing
Post by: IdZer0 on October 09, 2008, 12:47:14 AM
What I've seen for prices are (nothing really official as of yet):
US: 12.000 $ for the 1100 (no info found on the 1100S, but I suspect it'll be between 2000$ en 2500$ extra)
EU: 11.200 â,¬ for the 1100 (and an extra 2000â,¬ for the S version)
AU: nothing found but maybe some of you might know.

I've made a distinction between US, EU and AU because due to the exchange rate, OTD extras and economic differences this might be of some influence.

Given the general state of the dollar, and increased transportation costs etc, the prices are what I would expect and inline with other European manufacturers producing similar volumes.

honestly unless they're gonna offer an mid size for a point between the 696 and 1100 then they need to drop the price about 1000 to 1500. that's too big of jump from 9000 to 12000 for 15 hp.

We are at a point in history where Europe needs us, more than the U.S. needs Europe. The Dollar will rise again. But that is in the future. I think the prices are inline with other European manufacturers. I think if they deliver a better product (fit and finish wise), with nicer components than the $11,500 or $12K is reasonable.

If they price it lower.. closer to the 696, then the perception would be that it is not that much better than the 696. They need to price it high so people think it is worth the money.

In England the prices mentioned are 7800 GBP and 9200 GBP. Anyone know what that would be OTD/OTR?
