Title: Charlotte Area Riders
Post by: jdubbs32584 on October 09, 2008, 04:23:28 PM
Rory, a tech at our local dealer, asked me to tell you guys something:

Please go into the dealer and ask for him to safety wire your rear sprocket.

He's doing this for free, though I plan to buy him a beer or two at Euro Bike Night to repay him. Rory just wants to make sure everybody is riding safe.  [thumbsup]

How cool is that?  Rory deserves more than just a beer for that offer!   [beer]

3 cheers -  [clap]   [clap]   [clap]

Hello, J. Did Rory explain what was wrong with the sprocket or carrier? got a pic of your sprocket safety wired?

Just curious as I've never had a problem with a loose sprocket as long as the nuts were properly torqued.

Wow, I should check this part of the page out more often.  I was wondering what the hell that thing was.  I knew my bike didn't have one when we went in for a rear tire.
