This is the S4R fully loaded with all my camping gear ready to go down to the island. It handled alot better than expected, getting the leg over was the hard part.
I got the panniers 2nd hand from a mate, and didn't quite site right. The left one has the corner ground down from tyre rub. He also loaned me the BMW bag. That bag was brilliant. Kept my tent sleeping bag and pillow nice and dry.

Nice package!
You even have the folded seat stowed.

Well planned exhaust choice [thumbsup]

That's because it is in the BMW bag, it would just look wrong sitting on the back for everyone to see.
top job h c g , were monos easer to do [laugh]
apparently he's wife let him come back INSIDE the house...so he's unpacked EVERY possession he owns!
When we go on our trip, he'll back that and I'll have: one pair of boxers, one toothbrush.

exactly brother, wool (icebreaker) boxers dry overnight! that and a map, a gold credit card and an iPod full of tunes and I'm set.
obviously Brendan doesn't subscribe to this way of packing!
OK, I admit I could've packed a bit lighter, but I was down there for 3 comfortable days, plus there was 5 litres of red stashed in there (in the sink).
The only other problem I had was getting hooked up on a stationary tray truck while filtering out of the track - a bit embarassing.
Did you think about posting the gear down to Cowes Post Office?
Saves you lugging it all the way!

I agree. The high mount shotguns make panniers out of the question.
I can see this thread growing as some of us load up for Turismo.
Who says you can't tour on a monster?
