Just received the Shift-Tech f/r chainguards and they arrived w/o directions. I tried to install them but don't know where to place the plastic washers. Also, it appears that you have to remove the left rearset to install the front guard. I don't know what the torque settings are or how to remove the rearset. The damn thing requires me to remove the rear swingarm pivot. bang head
You should'nt have to remove the rearset. Just remove the heel guard. Once it's removed you'll be able to attach the front chain guard. You'll also figure out which plastic spacers go where. I think the thicker plastic spacer goes behind the guard on the inside mount location. The thinner one goes by the chain. I have the same guard.

I had to remove my rearset... and one of those bolts also holds the sidestand in place - luckily I was sitting on the garage floor to catch the bike when it came over on top of me - [clap] I think the spacers kind of tell you when they are in the right place or the (front) guard will rub the chain.

On my S2R, I had my missus sit on the bike and that moved the swingarm up enough for me to put in the bolt to hold it in place, and remove the OEM guard. Easy [thumbsup]
No removing the rearset, just the foot/heel guard.

+1 on this technique. After looking at the obstacles in the way, I thought to myself there is no way you have to remove that many parts just to remove the chain guard. Then I remembered the swing arm moves. Sweet. Saved some time for sure.
