Title: Track day prep
Post by: muskrat on October 14, 2008, 09:54:54 PM
Hey guys,
my first track day this Saturday and I'm gearing up.  Keep going to the garage to look at my bike time and time again....I'm sick  [evil]

Ok, the rear tail light and blinkers are off.  The problem is now the front.  I see the connection for the blinkers but it's behind the headlamp.  Has anyone taken both off and gone to track day?  If so, is taking the headlamp off an easy enough chore?  I hate pulling the blinkers and having to zip tie these back together afterwards.  Suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks.

That's exactly what I did at my last track day, though you can also just tape the lights and signals. The headlamp is super easy. Just remove the bolts on the sides and disconnect. If you decide to tape the headlamp, be sure and disconnect it so it doesn't melt the tape adhesive into a glue fondue.

However, I wouldn't try going without the seat. Although WiWa reduced some significant weight on the bike and had some insane speeds that weekend, it's rumored that he paid dearly by having to sacrifice his sex life for the next few months....

that's what I had hoped some were doing.  My only problem is setting the light back to "my" preferred position.
thanks.

I hear they are feeding us something but can I bring a cooler with canned coke and waters along with some food?  I know some places are picky about NOT using their vendors.
thanks.

They don't have any vendors... This time AMS is catering (Private Days are BYO).

So load up your coolers, & bring it!!!!!!!!!
