I don't normally engage in or condone such behavior, but had a fun thing happen on the way home last night.
Coming up to a red light with no cars, I see some bright lights coming up behind me fast. This brand new BMW 2 door 3-something pulls up next to me. I'm thinking it's gonna be some jacka$$ who thinks he's got something, but he rolls his window down and turns out to be pretty cool.
"Hey, I love that bike man, I used to have a 748."
"I like your car dude, wish I could afford to have both!"
He's revving his engine so I know he just wants to have a little fun. Light turns green...
I didn't dump the clutch in 1st so I wouldn't end up on my a$$, so he had a nose on me through 1st gear. But then I dumped it into second, the front wheel came up and I left him 3 or 4 car lengths behind.
Predictable result, it was just fun. Made me want a 1098 though so I REALLY could've handed it to him. [thumbsup]
[evil] Been there done that too. It's fun... the closest I've come to being pulled was by a tricked out Mustang.... I was on a bike that'd do high 10's so he was probably a mid 11 car... damn fast for a street car!

All that bacon is making me hungry.
Just ran up Ute Pass for "lunch". Got smoked coming back down by a squidly looking guy on a GSXR, no jacket, mohawk on the helmet. He was faster than me, but that's okay 'cause I don't weave through traffic in those corners like he was.
I been racing on the streets since I was 14. Nothing too serious. Careful about the badge. Still, it's in the blood and at age 65, a "nice bike" from a guy in a 'vette at a stop sign earns the driver a nod and a look at my rear plate. Same thing getting passed and grinned at by a teen-ager who doesn't understand what Force/Mass = Geeeezzzz! really means. I just help the kid out with his physics lessons.
