Title: Greetings from a (hopefully) soon-to-be 696 owner!
Post by: Rambler1982 on October 19, 2008, 02:40:20 PM
Hello, I'm a 26 year old male residing in the City of Chicago.

I'm currently in the market for my first motorcycle, and have my heart set on a '09 Monster 696. I'm still learning a lot about the bike, but it seems perfect for me!

I'm an attorney, a marathon runner, and a generally swell dude :)

That's just swell - as long as you never use that word again [laugh]

Get your bike, it will not disappoint you.

Welcome here [thumbsup]

Welcome to the Swell site.  [thumbsup]  Hope you get your bike soon.

FYI, if you use the words attorney, swell and dude in the same sentence you will get razed, A Lot! [evil]

We Kid! ;D

AS far as attorney's go, this dude seems pretty swell for picking the 696. Excellent bike I might add.

Welcome to the DMF! :)

Good luck with your bike shopping, have fun.  Just a couple of suggestions:
- If you haven't already, sign up for the MSF class, it's a great way to learn, helps you get your license, and will help you save on insurance costs
- Consider picking up something used and riding that for a little while to begin with (again saving on insurance costs), then selling it and getting your new 696 once you have a few miles under your belt.
