Sorry for insisting but I really need of a replacement shield for my helmet (Ducati Blade Glamour, 98270900). It was manufactured by Vemar and sold by Ducati in their 2003 apparel line. The local Ducati stores (Ducati Paris and YE Motori) do not carry the shield for this helmet any longer and the local Vemar distributor cannot order the shield not knowing the helmet model. Does anyone happens to know the model of this helmet or where I can get a new shield for it? I did pull off all of its protective foam and there is not Vemar model number visible.
Many thanks, Pedro

You might want to correct the spelling of "Vemar" in your thread title. :)
Just a suggestion, but I had to pull all the padding out of the helmet (as much as I could) to find the number tagged on the inside of a helmet I had. hope it helps
Maybe contacting Vemar directly will help? This approach worked when I needed a new shield for my Schuberth for which there are no parts for sale in the US anywhere.

I appreciate the suggestion but I have sent two emails to Vemar-Italy and two emails to Vemar-France and both have absolutely blow me off. I guess this is the last Vemar helmet I will ever own...
Thanks, Pedro

They carry Vemar visors. Chances are that helmet is one of the listed models, but badged Ducati.
Well, here is the final installment of this saga.
After having multiple emails ignored by Ducati and Vemar, I phoned Vemar in Italy who informed me that when they made the production for Ducati in 2003, they provided Ducati with helmets and visors. After that, they were not responsible for the product - Ducati was. Now Ducati considers the helmet a discontinued product and will not accept request for visors from their dealers. I finally found one Ducati dealer in France that had one mirrored visor and I purchased it, but that was probably the last of the Mohicans.
The real problem is that many of the Ducati dealers are trying to download the leftover helmets at a discount to unsuspected costumers.
Did Vemar Italy tell you what model the helmet is? If you could get that information you might be able to find another Vemar helmet that uses the same shield.

Nope... According to the guy at Vemar Italy, that helmet model was not in their product line on 2003 (hard to believe, although it was a conversation between and American and an Italian in French :-[). So... Nno Vemar model inside the helmet, no model from Vemar, no Vemar model in the packaging of the brand new helmets in the Ducati store - in short... The mystery helmet made by Vemar for Ducati in 2003.
This should teach me not to be such a fashion victim in the future.
