Ok, ok, I know it's a suzuki. But it looks like a watered-down 696. What are your opinions? [popcorn]

One more reason not to get caught on a 696
"hey...nice Suzuki you have there [puke]"

Can´t wait for Milan to see something interesting...

The Ducati dealer near me had a brochure that they let me look through(it was their only one).
All I can say is it looks very different than the Ducati. There are some similarities, the frame, but overall IMHO
I don't think you would ever confuse the two. They have also launched a webiste.

That's not only the gayest sounding name for a motorcycle I have ever heard, but that is also the gayest advertisement for a bike I have ever seen.
Just what market is this bike aimed at?
Wow [puke]
It looks like an Old Navy ad, but gayer.

Wow! I guess you guys really couldn't explain that any other way?!
The theme could best be described as
Frolicing in a gay-winter wonderland.
:-\
Can someone make a motivational poster with one or ALL of these ad shots with the
GLADIUS in Bold and "
fail" underneath.
[laugh]

hmmmmm.....
when you put it that way, it makes me a little curious - I mean, it doesn't hurt to look, right?

The thing that's really scary is that it says Vol. 1 at the bottom of the ad.
What do you mean?! There's more volumes to come?!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
:'(
ha-ha, you know, I've seen you without your shirt on, IZ - I'm thinkin' they could sell a buncha' them Gladius if they were to feature you frolicking on the beach in Vol. II !

WTF..just when you thought things couldn't anymore gay..Bullet boy throws that one into the ring. :-[
Anyway..
Gladius..
Gluteus..

Bottom line: Not a good name. Not a good look. Definitely not a good ad campaigne!
I was getting ready to blast you guys for being homophobic jerks .... then I looked at the website. :o
"Look! Its Gladius! The last gay Roman solider!"
C'mon guys if you look in the dictionary, gay is just another way of saying glad....ius. [laugh]
Yeah, that website is :-* [puke]
Actually, that looks cheap by Suki standards... more like a Hyosung than 696 to me. FTR the colors [puke]
Oh my! [roll]
If anyone thinks that after seeing that ad campaign and still is going to buy that bike, they are gheyer than all the ghey people in ghey land at the gheyest time of the year.
FOR F*CKS SAKE!

I'm pretty sure even homosexual bikers wince when they look at that...
(but I don't care what anybody says, I'm gettin' me some of them shiny pants!)
Suzuki seems to have a habit of taking the best swords in history and naming crappy bikes after them. Think Katana. :-\

That is the first word that came to my mind when I saw it.
Does it still look cheap?

Yeah I circled all the parts on the Sukati that look cheap to me.... the tank isn't circled because of the Ducati logo... it's the contours.

Maybe ducati owners wouldn't confuse the two. I wasn't confused, but the first thing I thought was "looks like a 696". Keep in mind I don't own a ducati, (I tried trading my harley in for one, but the bank didn't like the numbers), but someone who has little interest in either ducati or suzuki will look and see the "same bike".
^^^^^^ +1 Def. a 696 rip off. I can certainly see how the layperson couldn't tell the difference.

did y'all forget that queer eye for the straight guy ad that featured the monster? :-*
Why is this all such a suprise? Everyone talks about the 1098 looking Japanese, the truth is that it was styled to harken back to the 9*6... just like the Japanese bikes were styled to look like the 9*6. The 1098 doesn't look Japanese, the Japanese look like old Ducatis.... except the Kawis, and they are fugly. They've been ripping off Ducati for years.... does no one else see the similarities between the Monster and the SV?
Seriously... that website made me ill. Who is the target audience? Is there some group of coffee drinking fashionistas that ride who naked motorcycles?? Crikeys... just typing that sentance made me feel less manly. ;D
