Desktop is running XP, and an older version of IE.
Laptop is running Vista, and a newer version of IE.
I would like to consolidate to one browser on both machines to reduce UI aggravation.
New IE has tabs, which I really like, much more convenient than having a bunch of seperate browser windows open.
Preferably the new browser can import all of my favorites/bookmarks from both versions of IE.
Any suggestions?

It'll be nice and hot then, so the beer will taste better. ;D
not sure how techno savy you are, but for a browser with a lot of cool features, I started using seamonkey when trying to figure out the php and css code here. It is a browser, plus a html editor, plus has some html authoriing.
It is based of off mozilla.

Firefox wt: Running it on my work machine with XP, running it at home on a Vista based machine as well. Seems to work fine. Seamonkey seemed to work fine too, don't know much about it though ~

Love Firefox. I can't run it at work and it makes me crazy - someday our technical group will wake up and let us use it here too. Until then... b:::
you can save firefox to a thumb drive and run your browser through that (assuming you can access your thumb drive from said puter). I've had to do that on a few puters that don't have it across the network. Also, you can save your favorites, history, and preferences and they'll carry to any computer you use.
anyone use Opera? I've been thinking of trying it out
I've heard that opera is a little more unstable than firefox. I've never had to switch over to I.E. for anything since the newest firefox came out.
And its more cust-o-mizable than your bike!
Personally a huge fan of Firefox...
The current Firefox 3 Beta is an awesome browser with tons of "little" features that really make it awesome.
I use it in XP, Ubuntu, 2000, and 2003
I'm also on Firefox
It's a miracle that I can figure out how to surf the web, but with Firefox my comp hasn't had any viruses or worms or nasty crap that I used to get with IE...even with security!
Firefox is awesome! wt:
Once you go Firefox you never go back be::
Firefox is crashing on my Macbook pro many times. Or I am suspecting ATT DNS issue screw my browser up.
