Here is a story from MCN about a guy who narcs on other motorcyclists. What a prick. I believe everyone should ride safe, but fast can still be safe.

He really really really really wanted to be a cop [leo]
He thinks he's doing the right thing, but he's profiling. If he had stated that he targets every vehicle that overtakes him, that's fair.
what a douche. :P
I think someone's panties are still in a bunch from flunking out of the police academy.
considering how hard it is for Police officers WITH radar/lasers to get speeding convictions on the smart people who actually choose to fight em in court, I think it's safe to say he's just wasting his time and $$.......maybe even putting himself in danger by spending too much time paying attention to other vehicles................
Did you see the poll link on the bottom? 93% think he is an idiot. 7% think he is doing a good job. Lets up the ante and make it 99%... vote!!
How does he know his speedomeeter is accurate? :P

cuz he has an old police bike. ;)
SO...who's in his area with a similar white touring bike willing to photoshop a copy of his license plate and tape it over their's while riding by him in excess of posted speed limits (repeatedly)?
PS: Do not get caught by anybody on a real policebike (or car, etc.)!

That in no way makes it accurate. ;)
Some of us know what we will be proficient at starting in grade school...

Betcha Ranger Danger there was one too! [cheeky]
Yet, if I was to pull up beside him and push him off the side of the road, I'd be the one in the wrong. [evil]
There is another of these make the beast with two backs heads here on the Gold coast in Australia, old bloke riding a GSXR1300 Busa, has a camera bolted to the side of his bike, he rides up and down all the local ranges and does the same thing, not sure if the local [leo] has ever used the footage, but people like that should be dragged from there bike and beaten senseless.
As bike riders we have enough shit to put up with, dickhead drivers, stupid pedestrians, and [leo] always targeting us, and the these make the beast with two backsers pop up with there holier than thou attitude.
Back stabbing make the beast with two backss.
We somehow need to get ahold of these cameras they use and swap the tape. Sometype of bizarre, illegal porn, which the idiot can then hand over to the authorities.
Should be interesting.
Wouldn't it be nice to go through life trusting that the speed limits are posted with 100% accuracy with all of our safety and well being in mind? And to trust that by obeying the speed limit 100% of the time, you won't have any accidents?
Wow!
I'll bet he sits in the left lane in his car too and goes at or below the speed limit just to piss people off.
This really is passive-aggressive behavior in my book. If he really believed in the laws, he would just ramble along through life and accept that others might not see his point of view. But instead, he has to take the extra step and rat others out.
I would LOVE for a cop to call on me and say this yahoo turned me in. I would say, 'Oh, that guy that was weaving all over the road and drinking a beer?'
And, is that guy wearing a reflector vest? HAHAHAHAHAHA! I'll bet he got beat up a lot when he was young!
I'm glad there's a pic of him because I'd pull over and kick his ass for filming me, then bang his wife...on tape! [coffee]
i would be surprised if second hand "evidence" would be admissible in court. part of the whole circus act when you go to court for a ticket is the officer providing testimony, which includes descriptions of their training in traffic enforcement (ie speeding ticket issuing), training in the use and supposed calibration of the equipment, and their vast experience in traffic enforcement which gives them the skill to be able to claim "professional opinion in front of the judge.

HAHAHHAHA! Here's the rub: He is 62. So, his wife is probably close to that age. Not that there is anything wrong with 62, but... well... you know where I am going.

True. Colorado has a call in number for the state patrol so you can 'narc' on other drivers. But they just send you a nasty letter for the first call, and on subsequent calls you might have an officer stop by. But there are a lot of bitter drivers that spend time calling in anyone and everyone that they encounter throughout their hateful day. So, there really isn't much that can be done about it.
Of course, the article did say he was video taping the other riders.
Maybe the cops can thank him by buying him some gloves [roll]
Read the comments, they're hilarious! "above all the guy is a complete arse licking twat." Damn, I wish I could speak with an English accent!!
Also, "As a "civilian" don't his actions contravene the Data Protection Act? He also ESTIMATES the other riders speed, I'm just sure that will stand up in court. Imitating a Police Officer? The guy is a numpty and should bugger off to North Wales where he would be welcomed with open arms."
[laugh] [laugh] [laugh] And, "What a plonker - if you are reading this, do yourself and the rest of us car and bike drivers a favour set fire to your bike and license and take the bus from now on - it will be safer for all concerned."
Let's bring this guy to the US and put him on SUV patrol [thumbsup]
hmmmmmm.... this guy liked the show CHiPs
From CHiPs Online:
A CHP officer makes a rude remark to a woman he pulls over and then strands a woman having a baby. Luckily Ponch and Jon show up to deliver the baby boy. Back at Central, Ponch is excited about delivering the baby but Getraer has a complaint against Jon.
Back on the freeway, Ponch and Jon pull over cars that are decorated from a wedding. The groom is in a hurry to get away from his friends since he's only on 24 hour leave. Jon lets him go to get away and holds back all their friends.
Since Ponch's motor home is in the shop, he's staying at Jon's. At the next day's briefing, Ponch and Jon tell everyone about the other's problems. When they "hit the bricks", Getraer pulls someone over who drives off as he gets to the door. Ponch and Jon chase the car until it jumps into a pond. Ponch and Jon jump in and arrest the guy as Getraer arrives.
Later, Ponch goes to pick up his motor home...but they need another day to work on the generator. That night, while Ponch and Jon watch a movie, the Jon look alike pulls over a woman and hits on her. When Ponch and Jon see her struggling, the fake officer tells them she was resisting arrest. A Santa Monica police officer comes along and everything gets sorted out. Jon sleeps at a neighbor's house to avoid Ponch's noise.
The next day, Ponch and Jon find a car that was hit (lightly) by a train. The fake CHP is on the other side of the tracks and Ponch spots him from the train. They chase him until he flips off his motor and falls off. Later, Jon gives Ponch his keys and tells him to take his car and apartment. Jon decided to stay in Ponch's motor home for the peace and quiet.
Anyone else here ever worked in Law Enforcement?
I can't imagine a police officer that would even give him the time of day. What he does is annoy the hell out of the poor office girl who ends up watching them.
I heard about this guy in Junior High School who had a Scooter and he would make what was termed " Citizen's Arrests " of Motorists .
I think he was thought to be a little off if you know what I mean.
Well one morning the Lady that ran a little store next to the Junior High School turns up dead .
She was killed by an Ice Pick . Stabbed repeatedly.
Turns out Mr." Citizen's Arrest " is found guilty of the murder . True story.
Maybe this guy w, the camera is really a Serial Killer ? Dolph
We're up to 95% idiot!
Yea, how to do police know he's actually doing the speed limit?
JM
96% now
