I'm looking for a motorcycle boot that doesn't "look" like the new motorcycle boots put out. Essentially I'm looking for the old school looking MC boot which can be worn without being on a bike, but with the new school safety advances. A boot which looks good but is still functional for riding. I really can't even point to a particular boot I have seen in a movie or print ad but I have a feeling a lot of riders know the look I'm talking about. Does such a boot exist? The closest I have seen (only in pictures) is the Aerostich Combat Lite Boots and I was wondering if anyone had these boots and what they think of them. Or could I be asking too much.
Have you looked in the AeroStich catalog? The Combat Lites (http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Aerostich-Combat-Lites-Boots-p-16559.html) May be what you are looking for.
also check out the Sidi Canyons. I have them and they are great. I can wear them all day, and they definitely blend in as a "regular" boot.(http://www.motonation.com/store/pc/catalog/canyon_goretex_472_general.jpg)
OP mentioned the combat lites ;)
there's mfrs out there that make more street/touring oriented gear... you just gotta look.
one more plug for newenough.com, I guess. I like some of the non-sport sidis they've got.
:edit: LOL those sidis! I was thinking about buying a pair of those
How about these old school motocross boots?

Boy you've got to be very brave to step out in thooose boots. And I don't think I'm that brave. Does anybody own the Combat Lites? Do they like 'em? What's up? New Enough has great stuff and I've bought alot from there but they don't have what I'm looking for.

+1 on the Canyons... Mine have 20k miles on them + countless hours off the bike and have been re soled once already and are nearly ready for another set of soles...
If I recall correctly, the Aerostitch boots are made by Sidi.
Off topic, but did you have to send your Canyons back to Sidi to get them resoled, or could you just go to any shoe repair place.
Here's another option made by Bates

$50.00 at the corner cobbler... and yes, Sidi makes the Aerostich Combat Tourers...
Yea, but does anybody OWN a pair? (Aerosticth Combat Lite Boots) not b&*ls.
I also have a pair of Sidi Discovery's - Pretty much the same boot as the Combat Tourers...

I have the Icon Super Duty 3 boots and I have use them on weekends even when I am not on my bike.
dainese torque look pretty normal under pants. even more so if you replace the metal toe slider with a plastic one.
