Title: New to Ducati
Post by: whits on October 30, 2008, 02:43:09 PM
Hi everyone! my name is Frank from NY  have been riding bikes since 1970  mostly motocross and offroad.  I now share an 06 ktm supermoto with my son . My wife rides a buell and I'm looking to buy a monster over the winter or early spring. I am torn between a s2r 1000 and a s4r  . Rode an o6 s2r 1000 and loved how it handled. I think I expected a little more pull from it seemed less than the Ktm 625 but maybe its just so smooth. wonder about the s4r?  Can't wait to be a DUCATI owner, have always loved the monster.

welcome to the board whits!
the 2v and 4v monsters are _very_ different beasts. it really depends on how much grunt you want/need.
i have an s2r1000, and i love it, but you probably cant go wrong with either bike.

Welcome Frank, good luck in your search! [thumbsup]

I'm sure if you post up in General (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=1.0) you will get many opinions on both models. ;)
