i had heard through the grapevine that ducati motor holding was going to introduce a new logo for the company ... from the description i was given at that time (the dynamic d was going away, and a "wing thing" was going to be added on a "shield like the corse logo uses"), it looks as if they launched this new logo today on ducati.com.
i kinda like it ... even though the "wing thing" looks a little like a puma logo (which i also like)

There it is. They set this with CSS, so it's a bit hard for browsers to resolve the correct image URL when clicking "View Image" from a context menu.
Puma ? Ducati ? wa? It's not growing on me yet.

A swoosh. How late 90s.
It kinda reminded me of a red version of this:

Edit: In case you're wondering, the "shield" is supposed to be a heart(or emotion I suppose) and the swoosh is supposed to be a road or racetrack.
See the video here (http://www.ducati.com/news/08/news023/news023.jhtml)

just indifferent. They already changed our beloved monster. I cared about that. But I'm past it. If they wanna make the beast with two backs around with the logo as well, I don't really care.

I'll see your incurious and raise you an inebriated.
I really don't dig the new Logo.
I am a person who does Welcome change but I think Ducati is trying to be a cookie cutter mold of every other motorcycle company out there now.
The more I see these changes the more I love my S4R.
I do like the 848 so the only Ducati's I see in my future is a 848 or 1098 and a used S4Rs maybe =)

+1 and the swoosh logo cup hath already overflowed almost a DECADE ago. [roll]
Whatevs tho. Successful brands can be built and maintained atop even the most poorly executed, butt-ugly logos (which this
isn't, exactly). But aesthetically, this mark is just a big step backwards from the last one, which was solid, contemporary and elegant. Good thing they at least retained the logotype from it.
check out the ducati logos on exhibit posting @:
